Is it gonna be another 20-21 off-season where they think they’re in a better spot than they really and give illadvised contract extensions?

the young/big contract guys (other than fournier) are the ones actually contributing to wins here so i’d say it’s decent positioning

Me in the Christmas spirit: yay, that’s awesome, great achievement and they will get in the playoffs. Brunson is nice.
Remembering my wife calls me Luther Crank and the Grinch: whoopty doo. So have multiple other teams this year. Fact remains they are a treadmill team with juuust enough talent to be a mid to back seed in the East. Their ceiling is winning a play in game and maybe 2 games in the quarterfinal round

So by this logic they should just keep losing? The Knicks did that for almost two decades. It doesn't work.

Makes no sense posting on the GB. There’s gonna be nothing but hatred and knicks gonna knick talk. This team is has more talent and potential and better equipped to win close games with the addition of Brunson. They have literally won every game they were supposed to win outside of the Dallas game and one of the OKC games. No we’re not winning the chip, but we’re on the right track to add a superstar and really contend for the first time since the 90s

The beauty of this mini-run is that they could easily sustain this for a few more games, too. Their next several opponents are border line basura

Thibbs is a very good coach who gets the most out of his players. Not a surprise he has them playing good ball. This is the 2nd of 3 years there he has overachieved with his given roster.

Nets are 9-1 in their past 10 games. Have won 6 in a row

And their 3 leading scorers are already locked in for the next several years. If there was a mistake with giving Randle, Barrett or Brunson a big contract, the mistake has already been made. This is the Knicks core for the time being and Knicks fans should be happy they are playing playoff level basketball.
