how do you listen to your horrible, biased, broadcasts?

So I'm a Knicks fan and Clyde and Mike Breen are amazing. They have 0 problem calling the Knicks out of their garbage. The MSG broadcast shows replays of everything. It's great.

Recently this year I've been watching the Lakers more and I am always watching them from the opposite teams broadcast and oh my lord, it is horrible. Some commentators are so biased it's crazy. They also will just straight up not show replays when the Lakers make a nice play? Like wtf? Do you guys really enjoy that crap?

I am not going to call out any specific teams because honestly I can't remember but also I don't want to start a fire here.

But do you guys really enjoy when your broadcast is so biased that it won't even show a replay from your opponent? That seems like it would be infuriating.

The same way you listen to Clyde and his corny jokes or Breen always siding/protecting the refs.

watching multiple viewpoints with their biases is totally fine and a lot of people do that. but people watch their locals to get a continuing narrative, like a story for the season.

Because most of us are fans of a specific team and don't care if our local broadcast is biased towards them since it's kind of expected

Lakers broadcasts are great with that, Stu Lantz who has been the color guy for decades back to Chick Hearn is as unbiased as it gets. Same for Mychal Thompson who is their color guy on the radio.

I actually avoid local broadcasts from other teams for any teams that play cause they’re so biased it makes the audio intolerable.

I have to listen to Kelenna and Fitz as a Warriors fan. It’s bad lol.

Bucks fans bitch about it every game, everybody loves Marques Johnson but he's basically part time so its been a lot Steve Novak and Lisa Byington lately. I wouldn't say they're super biased tho, they just suck and you try your best to tune them out. Like no insight, their banter is lame & awkward, they miss calls, they just suck okay.

Thank You. I never liked Breen and you're one of the very few people that have raised this important point: playing the company parakeet.

Lisa is pretty bad but Novak just disappears into the background. I notice her rambles a fair bit and keeps going on and on

Tommy is dead (RIP), so it’s much more even keeled now.

I find the most biased commentators mostly hilarious in a good way, to be honest. Especially some like Denver's Scott Hastings who has the most entertaining manner of complaining about refs.

I dont know if Fitz and Buke are the worst, but they certainly aren't the best.

The Bulls and Warriors broadcast team immediately come to mind as top-tier awful.
The Lakers broadcast team is solid though so just listen to them if you're watching Lakers games.

Why would I want to see the nice replays of opponents? They're the opponent, I don't want to see anything positive about them while we're at war with them

LOL maybe because I've been listening to him for 15 plus years but I love Scott Hastings. He's the ultimate grumpy old man and doesn't even care about it. He's toned his act down over the years though.

Usually with music....unless Gus Johnson is calling the games. He isn't bias at all, in fact most fans hate the fact that he gets excited for amazing plays from the opposing team but I enjoy it.

Because amazing plays are amazing plays. My team makes more than it's fair share and I can be impressed when another team makes them.

He is one of the best in the business IMO.

because it’s a game? and when lebron slams a dunk i want to see it regardless of whether it was on my team because i love basketball? i also dont watch a lot of other teams other than my knicks so when guys come to town i want to be able to appreciate their game because i might not watch them again for awhile.

i’m not so pathetic that if a guy dunks and they replay it i can’t handle it lol.
