My honest opinion?

Head-to-head, Biid can give Jokic the business, as he did today. But it doesn’t matter. Philly’s roster is filled with guys that can’t perform as well in the playoffs due to their play styles, so they’ll never make the Finals as currently constructed. Denver probably won’t either, because the talent level outside of Jokic just isn’t good enough.

Embiid has had multiple teams around him. People act like he was playing with the Ignite before this season.

That 18-19 roster was absolutely stacked.

It proves that as a two way player, Embiid can effect the game in a way Jokic cannot. Its all mental. If Embiid is locked in, its not even up for debate who will be more valuable. That's up to Embiid though.

Jokic played drop coverage on Embiid today and was not aggressive. Embiid out played jokic in the second half. Denver needs to make adjustments when they meet again. They let Embiid take time off of defense guarding AG in the second. Jokic needs to make Philly pay for having Tucker on him. He will the second game. Jokic played great defense on Embiid the first half. In the second half it was a different story.

Embiid has always been a far better player than Jokic. But Jokic is more durable and his playstyle allows for more consistency.


Embiid has looked great this year because he's found something that makes him more reliable: the mid range, especially off the screen. He kinda struggled against the Nets because that was taken away.

I call bull. Jokic was playing way better defense on Embiid. Then Embiid was on jokic. Yes Embiid cooked jokic on the perimeter with his mid range shooting but don’t act like Jokic was not playing defense. Or are you forgetting the first half on purpose. Next game Philly won’t be able to hide Embiid on Gordon like they did the second half. Jokic will make Tucker pay next game and then Embiid will have to use more energy guarding Jokic instead of guarding Gordon.

As a two way player? Embiid didn’t even guard Jokic in the second half. Tucker did. Actually tucker played way better defense on Jokic than Embiid did all game. Embiid played better and results showed that. But don’t give me that Jokic didn’t play defense.

Embiid has underperformed in playoffs, and not only due to nagging injuries. At least this season he has been better in the clutch compared to other seasons, let's see if it translates and is also injury-free.

I have a feeling Tucker will pick up 4 early fouls in the first half for their next matchup in Denver. It's hard to make Tucker pay when he's allowed to get away with Murder.

If anything though, I would have liked to see Jokic pick up one or two offensive fouls bullying Tucker to get position and force the refs to make hypocrites of themselves.

I don't think Jokic's defense changed that much in the 2nd half, overall it was pretty good. Embiid just got super hot from the mid range. Over the long run, those looks likely amount to an unacceptable points per possession for the 76ers.

These hot take threads that overreact to one game in order to advance some dubious agenda are very cringey imo.

Jokic has more play off success than Embiid and the better stats. Embiid is one who got exposed a lot more and he had teammates like Butler and James Harden. Jokic never played with that type of co stars. Jury is still out on both of them.

Given Embiid nearly put up a 50 piece and Jokic 24 points, I don't see how you can say that with a straight face. Embiid had him on skates. Inside and out. The footage doesn't lie. Come on.
