There are like 20 guys in the NBA who are absolutely top10 players in the history of the game. These are probably 2 of them.

I believe Giannis already peaked higher. I think he'll also put more longevity since KD has also had some injury issues.

In the end I believe Giannis will be ahead. Accodales, peak, longevity... it's starting to look like a lock. Unless Giannis starts having major issues with injuries.

KD. Giannis has the type of game that could fall off a cliff as he approaches his mid 30s. Unless he adapts to an inevitable diminishing of athleticism, he could see a steep drop off in about 5 years.

kevin is a little ahead. He led a team to the finals, going through better teams than what Giannis faced to get to the finals and just happened to play prime lebron bosh and D wade. im not holding losing against him in the finals, That team would have folded the bucks too.

If giannis wins has a couple more really impressive playoff runs against great teams, i could see him get past kd in my eyes whether he wins more championships or not.

longevity wise. Giannis already having knee issues making him less threatening at the rim some nights. Kevins game isnt changing until he retires at this point, he hasnt blown by anyone all year and hes having one of the best jumpshooting seasons of all time.

KD has had 5 teammates better than any of Giannis’ teammates. Let that sink in

We literally watched him be one of the best rim runners the league has ever seen in a dominant 6 game series to win a championship on one leg. I think he'll be fine. I don't think people realize what that drop off in athleticism looks like when you're 6'11 vs. 6'2. I think when you talk about this, you need to ask yourself where he is in the landscape of bigs with that drop off in athleticism, and the answer is: still more athletic than most of the league when put up against his peers.

Giannis is already ahead of Durant by most measures

Giannis is already ahead imo. Organic ring in impressive fashion, back to back MVP, DPOY, and his best teammate ever was Khirs Middleton while Durant has played with multiple MVP winners. Not even a question imo

giannis is just a better player. he's a more dominant offensive player and he's quite a bit better defensively. rebounding seems to be sort of it's own category, but he's just so much better there as well.

none of that is any sleight against kd though - i'm of the opinion that when giannis is done, the GOAT three will become the GOAT four.

no shame in being ranked below giannis.

I think KD is the better overall player but that ring will put Giannis ahead for me.

KD still needs a ring without the help of a dynasty level team carrying him.

KD is the better talent despite Giannis resume he for example can’t be compared to Lebron and there’s people out there who try to put KD on Brons level even if they are wrong

I can't pick between the 2. Peak KD was a destructive force also, absolutely a top10 in history. He was absolutely decisive for those GSW titles.

One more out of GSW would definitely help his case.

I agree with Giannis already being ahead. His last probably 4 seasons were played at a higher level than KD ever got to and his 2021 playoffs/Finals performance was absolutely legendary.
