Nets fans, does he have potential or was it just something random that happened?

Four other players scored 40+ today. No longer a special accomplishment in this inflated scoring league.

I have definitely never heard of Cam Thomas before.

Impressive game.

Maybe like the Tony Delk game where he scored 50.... But he seems to be a guy that can score a bunch when he's on. Could see him being part of the Kyrie trade if something great is coming back to BRK

Good for Cam, I remember he lit it up in Summer League. He's still just in his second year so maybe he just needs more opportunity to show his worth.

He’s flashed before, definitely has skills. Very good to see he did it in a winning effort, not just garbage time. I like him, think he can build on this.

Japan could have a nice squad with Rui, Watanabe and Thomas.

Cam Thomas is a walking bucket. This is what he does when given the green light to shoot. He did the same exact thing to Indiana earlier this year.

He scored 51 and did it in 2013/14, when teams averaged 101 points per game. Now it's at 114,3. Pretty impressive from Ross.

Willie Burton dropped 53 on the Heat in the 90s and the next year was playing in Italy.

Three guys who have never been an All-Star dropped 40+ last night.

Let's not pretend that Cam Thomas came out of left field. He was talked about a lot on the Draft Board prior to the '21 Draft and was generally viewed as one of the most talented 3-level scorers of that draft. His issue mainly was that he didn't offer much else other than scoring which is why he fell to 27th and hasn't been utilized as much by a team that already has a myriad of offensive weapons and wants to compete right now.

But, yeah, he could always score at a high level. Him scoring 40 isn't really a surprise.
