What laziness offence here. Kerr looks lost this season. League is more effective from 2P than 3P this season and I don’t count FT shooting which more related with 2P.

Not teams fault that the scoring system is broken, the only solution is to alter it, when a 3pt shot stops being worth 50% more points than a midrange shot and is instead worth less points, you'll see the needed change in shot distribution.

NBA is lame as hell because of analytics, its getting 3TO’d like baseball. Pure cancer, only fix is to straight up remove the 3 point line.

I won't blame Kerr. There's no good driver on the Warriors' team tonight. They are a very turnover happy team. Uncontrolled dribbles, crazy passes. They are better of settling for long range shots especially tonight when Klay was super hot.

Curry is the only above average driver on that roster and he is out. Klay is just a jump shooter. Poole is a very messy dribbler. Wiggins always settle for a mid range. Kuminga makes lots of silly mistakes.

Hate to say this as I have been watching the NBA for decades, but it’s becoming harder to watch. I am finding myself tuning in for more Euro and NBL games. Of course the talent is not as great, but it’s a much better product as a viewer.

I mean... Klay went 12 of 17 from deep; DiVinny 5 of 9. If you gonna make 'em at that kind of rate might as well pull up. Houston defense wasn't exactly forcing them out of those shots.

2P .546 worth 1.092 pts per shot
3p .360 worth 1.080 pts per shot

FTA is more related with 2PA by good margin. 3P shooting is about space for better 2P offence. So why need spamming 3P shooting at ridiculous rate?

Yep, I don't know where it's going anymore.

Basically any 3pt attempt by a random player of an average team is a good shot. It's really getting pointless.

I prefer the ball in hands or being fought over with passion, skill and persistence.

Criticizing the product because you want it to improve is not hating it, it's the opposite.

I don't know about NBL but Euroleague teams shoot more 3s than ever this season. It's not as absurd as in NBA but it's getting there.3 point spamming is s problem on every level of basketball.

That does seem a little crazy even for this era. That said, they shot the 3 ball better than the 2 and won, so I guess it made sense.

Remember when the offense was watching Vin Baker slam his back into Vlade Divac for ten seconds trying to back him down? And games often had the winning team scoring in the low 80s? That was boring too. In fact, I’d say that was more boring. What golden era do you want to return to?

Man I really miss when basketball was just 4 guys standing around watching the big man back his guy down in the post for 20 seconds!!!

Basketball was so much better when games ended 75-72!

We should outlaw the 3. Fit every player with a shock collar so that every 3 they take results in a shock that increases in severity

It doesn't have to be one or another in terms of style, balance is needed.
People can complain all they want, but this will never change unless the scoring system is fixed, teams will always use the best strategy that helps them win. Analytics merely exposed that introducing the 3pt line with 3 points as a reward was a huge mistake, as it is clearly an OP shot, nothing more.

Actually, I think 2pt shots are dumb and the league should do something about teams shooting so many of them. I think the proper balance is the reverse of what you saw in the 80s. Teams should only be attempting between 5-10 2pt shots per game. Anyone who thinks teams should shoot more 2pt shots than that is an idiot who doesn't appreciate real basketball. Its absolute insanity that we often see teams taking more 2pt shots than 3pt shots.
