Coming from a guy who robbed NBA teams for years this seems like a crazy statement.

I'm one of the biggest Ben haters here, and will think it's a great day when he's out of the league, but he plays defense way too well to ever be a minimum contract player.

Ben would have to regress even more for there not to be a team willing to throw more than a minimum at him, which certainly isn't impossible. I say too early to tell.

Speaking of Parsons, Memphis was crazy to throw that contract at him, by the end of his time in Dallas it was pretty clear Parsons' knees were shot

Chandler Parsons somehow made $127 million in his career. That has to be the greatest highway robbery ever.

I'm not even against guaranteed contracts per se, but he is the prime argument against them.

Why are we getting all these Chandler Parsons opinions suddenly in the last 3 months?

Oh did he just sign a deal with Fanduel to throw out headline quotes so their name is in the press more?

I’m surprised they couldn’t find/afford someone better than Chandler Parsons for this…

This is actually the first time I've seen him since he was warming a bench but the statement is just so absurd it's funny.

Sounds pretty good for suffering a traumatic brain injury. My cousin actually suffers from one after a vehicular accident and he’s a vegetable.

Dude is a conman. I have literally never heard that term for anyone as coherent as this person. I seriously wonder if that was a stunt for him to get even more money

I mean Nets might as well play Ben, they don't have anyone else and there are no championship aspirations anymore. He's under contract for 2 more years after this year so might as well use him and try to use him to his strengths.

Yup, not sure how bad his knee injury actually is, or if its something else. But if healthy just let him put up stats and play, maybe he gets some trade value, and can be traded in the off season or next year. At his rate though, Parsons is right. He'll take whats left on his contract and end up a minimum player.

I thought he'd be better than this, but he's looked so passive when he plays. He's a terrible fit next to Claxton in the lineup, 2 guys who can't shoot at all. He needs to go to a team with 4 other shooters around him.

Philly was actually a good fit, since Embiid could shoot three's. Phillys management made so many mistakes, amazing how they got out of it by trading Ben for Harden.

Hopefully the title of this thread is enough that "you know who" doesn't creep in since once again, we have another Simmons thread.

All it will honestly take is just a video of him playing some pick up and hitting some jumpers or if he chooses to play for Australia, behaves well and makes a couple of shots, teams will throw money at him ASAP. That said, that speculation is useless at this point because he will only be a free agent in the 2025/2026 season. So he definitely won't be a minimum player for a while, but most likely will be in terms of just production.

Didn't the "traumatic brain injury" quote come from his lawyers? Of course they played it up for the lawsuit.
