Somehow Tyrese Haliburton is an Allstar yet still under rated…. And is only 23!

Tyrese is looking like the real deal and the next super star that No ONE but hardcore fans know about…

Is he really underrated though? Or are you basing this take on realGM's lack of interest in him in the GB?

If Haliburton is underrated, it's only because the hype of his breakout season got interrupted by an injury. Before he went down, Haliburton was at the top of a lot of people's all-star guard lists in the East. Indiana was the bell of the ball.

Indiana was 23-18 when Haliburton got hurt. They went 1-10(!) while he was out. People just sort of forgot about Indiana and Tyrese a little. They haven't recaptured the magic since he's been back (5-8 in games Tyrese has played), and their front office is surely debating play-in vs. tank right now.

Tyrese is a freak. Tall point guard who doesn't turn the ball over despite dishing over 10apg. He's one of the best passers in the league and he's shooting lights out from 3.

Suns fans were so happy when he dropped in the draft...and then picked jalen smith...smh

Anyways every nba fan knows who Hali is....but I do think the average non nba fan wouldn't know. If you asked them who Tyrese Haliburton is they would probably think he's a transformer.

he is, imo he's got MVP potential

whose a better PG right now?
imo only Doncic and Curry have a case and Curry will be 35 by the time the playoffs starts and his durability will only trend downwards from here

the fact that he isn't talked about as the best PG in the league at age 22 means he's still underrated

Luka, Jokic, LeBron and Haliburton are my favorite players to watch.

I'd like to see Indiana stealth tank a bit down the stretch. If they get a little lotto luck and pick well they could become a real contender again. I'd love to see it for them, they are a team that never tanks though. I think this time it wouldn't be a big deal and would be in their interest. Get one more quality player to put around Tyrese and start putting it together.

He's only underrated in the national media because he plays for a bad indiana team team. He was an allstar and is an analyticals darling, he'll get his attention if the Pacers start playing better. I like their core of Haliburton, Matheruin and Turner.

Very smart passer too, which seems to be noticed by a lot of people as per the YouTube videos on him that I recently watched:

That’s my point- ask anyone to name the top 5 point guards in the NBA and then when they don’t name him.

Ask them to name 6-10 and when they again don’t name Haiburton - ask them to go 10-20… and maybe maybe they night say - the kid in Indiana-

Sac might have done the right thing because you don’t need two great point guards - but damn- a 6’5 guard that shoots like this and is just doing his job quietly.

How long before he is legitimately in the conversation with Ja and dame and other too small guards ? I saw it’s now

Same as the other seven teams after them that skipped Haliburton. I had barely even read up on Pat Williams, but I really liked Haliburton and was one of the ones who advocated the pipe dream of trading down to draft him at ~8ish. I'm no proper talent evaluator, of course, I just thought he had a high floor and could help right away.

That's because he's in Indiana and the media can't find their way past the corn fields and silos that surround Indianapolis and Gainbridge Fieldhouse. See Field house, it's out in a field as in corn field.

Halliburton was being talked about in the Top 4 for sure. You can go back and look at my post history to see how big of a Halliburton fan I was. I had him at #2 on my draft board behind Edwards. I drank WAAAAAY tooo much that draft night when he fell into the Knicks lap and we took Obi instead of him. We desperately needed a PG, he dropped, and we picked a guy that didn't have a clear path at minutes as long as Randle was on the team.

I love where we're at now, but we could be where we are and also have Halliburton as our starting 2. I think we'd be a legit championship contender if that were the case.

Rambling a bit but the point is, had the Bulls drafted Halliburton, that would NOT have been a reach.
