I think Jokic is a better player but Embiid had an awesome season and deserved the award. It's a regular season award. We have to stop using periods of time outside of the specified period of time for the award, to discredit players and teams.

I am not Embiid fan and I wanted Jokic to win, but come on, it was neck a neck, two historically good regular seasons from both Joel and Nikola. To me both were equally deserving, if anyone else won it, then I would agree.

It's hard to look at stats and say that's why Embiid won. Aside from PPG, Jokic pretty much was ahead of Embiid in almost every statistical category. Most voters who have said they voted for Embiid have said historical presidence played a roll. I'm biased but I feel like history will look back and either be confused or compare this to Karl Malones MVP.

Maybe but who cares. Jokic is showing, without a doubt, who the better player actually is.
