The Udoka fiasco really did the Celtics in, ultimately. While I appreciate the display of loyalty in giving Mazzulla the job, they really should've gone with an experienced coach if they had any plans to contend. Just as an example, Quin Snyder was unemployed when Udoka was fired.

Losing the series like that, the C's would have been better off losing in like 5 lol. Thought the game 6 shot was gonna propel them to a game 7 win.

Trade Brogdon and/or Smart, bring Grant back and sign JB and JT to extensions.

fire the coach, separate the Jay Jay, keep Tatum, get whatever you can for Brown, build around Tatum...

Big decisions ahead for them. I think Jaylen Brown is going to be the odd man out.

Mazzulla has got to go. A half decent coach sweeps the Hawks, beats PHI in 5, and beat MIA in 5.
Brown should be traded. He doesn't compliment Tatum at all. He is a poor man's Tatum

Joe Mazzulla. It looked like he'd get fired when Boston was down 3-0. They tie it up and become favorites to go the finals and everyone says he saved his job regardless. They get destroyed in Game 7 and people are after his head again. Who knows how they game would've gone with a healthy Tatum? Still, Mazzulla was a bad choice to begin with. I understand they initially thought it might be a temporary hire before bringing Udoka back, so in that respect, it is forgivable (Actually, maybe not - Make the decision on Udoka right away. Then hire a legit coach or keep Udoka in the fold).
So what should they do with Mazzulla? They have a championship caliber team right now. They need a coach who can take advantage of that right now. They've lost too many good potential coaches by not acting with decisive action during the Udoka situation (Snyder, Nurse). You need to strike while the iron is hot, not roll the dice on a rookie coach. Regardless of his ups and downs this season, I think you see if you can find a more proven coach out there to respect where your team is at in the process. Show some urgency.

If Luka really wants out, then start talking to Luka's agent. Brown for Luka is the trade to make.
The Celtics need a bit more toughness. More alpha from Brown and Tatum.

Brown has been causing issues for years... They should move him before he bolts because supermaxing both Tatum and Brown is a recipe for disaster...

No one in my opinion is giving up Luka for Brown, without a lot of extra assets attached going towards Dallas.

I mean they have one, it just doesn’t work for this particular group in its usual effect of motivating their team and discouraging their opponents.

Upgrade the coach and they need to upgrade from Horford.

Joe gotta go, and Jayson Tatum. IMO need to dump Horford/Smart and get White/Brogdon as your starting lineup. They lose depth though, so maybe not. They need a real point guard thouhg, and maybe they can get Ayton, because Robert Williams is a walking emergency room visit.
Also, all the good coaches are gone, so they either have to stick with Joe, or get a bad coach.
Doc Rivers anyone lol?

Jaylen Brown is a talented basketball player, but he’s nowhere near a Max player. He’s going to get paid like one, and it’s going to cripple the Celtics franchise unless he makes a considerable jump as a player (which is possible as he’s only 26).
