I think he's likely banged up or worn down, he looks off balance on some of his layups, jumper has looked flat.
But that doesn't change what he did earlier in the playoffs, and it doesn't change that he is a Championship-level No. 1 option.
He hasn't kept up his Bucks pace, but he was excellent against the Knicks, who only won one game when he played. He was huge in the first two games of the Boston series, clearly dominating in multiple ways. He was bad in game 6, but he managed to do enough to win them the game at the end, it took a miraculous Derrick White shot for Boston to win that one. He did well enough in game 7.
Game 1 was bad. He was good enough today. Overall, this still ranks as a really good, All-NBA 2nd/1st team type of playoff run from Jimmy. He's played multiple roles, he did indeed outplay Giannis in back to back must-win games while torching Jrue Holiday and Middleton. He's still a great passer, he's still a top 10 player, still a good scorer, elite defender with elite IQ and underrated shot-making ability. I expect him to end this series averaging around 24/7/7 on 55 TS%, but that might not be good enough to get the job done.
But don't ignore what he's already done, and consider that the Heat are largely overachieving.
