I think this could be a fun thread that deserves a sticky. Basically the idea is to speak your mind about an opinion that a lot of people don't agree with. I'll start ....

1. Lakers should trade Lebron for a Dame/Lavine type player. He's getting paid prime Lebron money with prime expectations, but he ain't got it in him anymore and everyone knows it (especially Davis), but they are not willing to admit to it. Lebron at his best now is no different than a Bruce Brown type player: only great in short bursts and ONLY when the defense is not targeting him.

2. The greatest pg is John Stockton, not Magic Johnson. He has two records that will never be broken and he runs the offense better. If he had Kareem instead of Malone, he would of won more rings than Magic. Yes what I'm saying is Kareem and Stockton with James Worthy instead of Hornacek would of beaten the Bulls dynasty.

You can do more than 2, but you get the point. Oh ya for this to work .... no judgments. Each and everyone of us is different and we have a voice of our own.

People forget just how good prime Russell Westbrook was in OKC. He was elite/near elite, and the best impact metrics corroborate this assessment.

People just lie about Westbrook using (dishonestly) his game in recent years as some sort of evidence to add to the collection of excuses for Kevin Durant, but Westbrook at his peak was one of the best players in the league regardless of his flaws.

Winning a ring is overrated and has a great deal of luck with it, continually going to conference finals and finals (e.g. current Celtics, mid 2010s Cavs even if they didn't win in 16), but falling short is also amazing.

KG is overrated as hell. A lot of people have him as borderline top 10, and I don't have him as top 20.

The regular season isn't a waste of time.

The idea of championship or bust and this team should tank is really dumb. It's not that bad to be a solid Playoffs team especially in a small market franchise. Basketball is an entertainment, fans attend games to enjoy after a week-long grind in their jobs and it's a huge disrespect for them to witness Bobcats won just 4 games for the entire year in Charlotte. Just look how wild Kings and Knicks fans when they made the Playoffs again after a long drought.

Draymond Green is the best defensive player of the past 15 years.

Dirk was a better player than KG, and it's not that close.

The players collectively should own the league, and the financiers should only get a cut.

There is no such thing as being unbeaten in the finals unless you have won every season you've played

Jerry Sloan was wildly overrated and carried by Stockton/Malone. Dude wasted Deron Williams' prime years featuring him with a guy who was the team's distant 3rd best PF in a pale imitation of his original pick and roll duo.

Scottie Pippen was equally important to the Bulls dynasty as Jordan.

the dubs should have traded klay and dray and fired kerr. they won't win **** with "the core" anymore.

Dirks playoff run was better than Olajuwons.

Heat should have traded Bam to take Scoot. They cut salary and probably get Simons to match on a great deal. Now they have more cap room to re-sign Vincent.

kareem retired 2 or 3 years before the bulls run

the lakers were too old for the pistons, who then won 2 rings before the bulls knocked them off

The Celtics haven’t improved this offseason.

The 2014 Spurs were a normal champion and not an all-time great team. Nobody was in their prime besides Tony Parker and a couple bench players.
