Not going to watch them talk about it but I see it. 300lb pound man handling it out top with guys curling around him trying to create mismatches was the best thing cousins did in his prime. That’s the only similarity used.

There were others doing it, but either not that size or not all the way out to the 3 line, or not as dangerous as scorers

Oh this is a fact. Everyone knows a guy that coulda been way more without emotional problems. A lot of them say the same things about Royce white. These guys all have therapists and can recognize a mental health case at their ages…

Prime Cousins wasn't even better than Marc Gasol, he had great numbers tho.

I mean i get the comparison (Prime Cousins was very good and nearly unguardable) however he didn't elevate the team nor dominate when he had to i mean those SAC teams were terrible whereas DEN has continuously gotten better

Well, I see their logic and fully understand the comparison.

1. Jokic is an offensive hub from the center position, and so was Cousins. The only difference is when Jokic does it a team has great offense, and when Cousins does it a team has bad offense. Cousins used to have like 5 ast per game...with 5 TOs

2. Cousins was like Jokic, a center that shoots 3s. The only difference is Cousins shoot 33.1% for his career, Jokic 41.2% in 68 Pos games. And Cousins use to score from all parts of the court shooting 46%, Jokic last season 63.2%

3. About the team game Cousins was selfish, Jokic unselfish. Cousins missed just un...

4. They both were teammates with other players. Jokic is a great teammate, Cousins was terrible...

I could add some similar players too.

Wernon Maxvell was among the league leaders in 3 PTA during 90s like Steph. The only difference was he was shooting 32.4% and Curry is at 42.8%

Antoine Walker was the first big volume 3pt shooter, like KAT today. One shot 32.5%, the other 39.5%, but there are similarities, definitely.

So it looks like for every great player now you can find a predecessor in the past...

they are similar...both had BBIQ...one great, the other not, but both had BBIQ...

I remember Chris Broussard(who has his own wild takes) mentioned the thing about all these new athlete lead "new media" podcasts/shows is the fact that they just get a bunch of other athletes with the same thoughts and nobody to push back on some of the takes they make. A lot of these shows still have the whole "us vs them" mentality of "we're athletes and you're not" so our take is always going to be the most valuable and one based in fact.

Cousins passing was nowhere near to Jokic's in qulity and diversity nor his game was more diverse than Jokic's. Cousins couldn't lift off his teammates when he was an alpha on Sacramento team. Place Jokic on that Sacramento team he would have made them play off team.

Broussard has helped lower the bar. So bad for so long. Pushing back on him hasn’t worked, push him all the way out of frame.
