"The Phoenix Suns are likely to be without a key offseason addition on opening night. Bradley Beal is dealing with a back injury and is like to miss the Suns opener at the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

Phoenix acquired Beal from the Washington Wizards for a package that included Chris Paul and several second-round draft picks. Beal is expected to team with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to form a deadly offensive trio for the Suns. That debut now looks like it will have to wait, as Phoenix plans to be cautious with Beal, as he recovers from this back injury."

This team is very fragile. I m not buying the hype.

Booker might be out tonight too so their depth is going to be tested.

Despite all Beal's talk, he comes off as way too soft. KD & Booker will have to carry his overpaid ass.

If it’s anything like last year when stars were out, Beal should be feeling better than ever just in time for a matchup against the lakers.

I like their team but you can’t count on KD or Beal to play more than 50 games. And Booker isn’t exactly an iron man, either.

They are the new Nets but with less drama.

Beals overrated and no one can change my opinion on this.

Just like that opening night is tainted. Should've added a third game and made it Spurs vs NOP or Bucks vs Heat.

Guy has 4 more years at over $50M per. At age 30, he enters the season with minor back pain? His last game was March 21st. That was SEVEN months ago. Couldn't prepare his body right for preseason? I'd be pissed.

Wouldn't a Beal injury help the Celtics, Bucks and Nuggets, who all have better odds than the Suns, and are therefore "more" anointed.

i don't think anybody was crowning the suns at all even before this news. most power rankings have them at #4, behind Nug Celts and Bucks, and health was one of the reasons. would have been great to at least be fully healthy on day friggin one tho.

They'll all be ready for the playoffs and thats all that matters to them

so this opener may be without Draymond, Brad and Devin....

Also, this news is that he is missing game, not that he suffered a significant injury and is out for the year, so even if people were crowning them, this specific situation in October wouldn't change anything.

When did they say Booker could be out? Thought the report was just that he had a toe injury, but NBD in terms of effect on playing.

It would reaffirm that injury prone player is already missing a game on a paper thin depth rotation.
