LaMelo Ball last 7 games.

Seems like LaMelo Ball is back to form after a slow start to the season. In his last 7 games LaMelo has put up 31.4 points 8.1 assists 6.1 rebounds 49.4 FG% 44.8 3PT% 88.9 FT%.
Those are crazy numbers for any other player. I know people don't pay attention to Charlotte, but LaMelo is still one of the better young guards in the NBA. He's back to being a supermax player.

They really need to get some talent on that team man. No one will give a crap about his play otherwise.

As an outsider/bucks fan, I would not trust that guy with my franchise. A lot of talent but don't believe he is the guy to give a 1/4billion contract to.

He has one of the biggest followings in the league (he puts people in the seats) and when has he not shown up as a basketball player?

Same 7 game stretch where they are 1-6 with five losses by double digits?

What?
Brandon Miller and Mark Williams is enough talent. Even Bridges is a fringe allstar.
The problem Charlotte has is coaching. Clifford is a old school defensive coach his time has passed. Once we get a HC we will see more wins.

Well in the biggest professional game of his young career, albeit only a play-in game, he went 4-14 from the field w 1 rebound, 4 assists and 4 turnovers, and his team got smashed by a very mid Pacers team, 144-117.
https://www.nba.com/game/cha-vs-ind-0052000111/box-scoreAnd he posted a video of himself smoking a blunt on social media before the game.
I mean technically he did show up, but it wasn't exactly the stuff of legends

A head coach isn't going to take a bottom 5 team and make them relevant without some big changes to the roster. As much as people hope coaches can have that big of an impact, nba is a players league.
And I agree that they do have some nice young talent but still need to add more impactful vets if they want to contend immediately.

Both of his play-in games have been pretty atrocious.

James Borrego deserves to go into the HOF is what I've learned since Ball's most recent 2 seasons

Impressive numbers but im not sure how he impacts winning. I think hes gonna need to request out of Charlotte if he wants to change that narrative.
Halli will have a better carreer

How did you manage to mention Hali in this topic I have no idea.
Is Hali the GOAT pg now?

If Miller works out and they find another stud then sure they will have talent. Mark Williams seems adequate as well. But I agree with some others' sentiment that Ball doesn't strike me as a 'locked in professional'.

Keep this up and they get some wins and he could come in 3rd in mvp...

Just typical normal GB BS from people who don't watch the Hornets and have zero idea what they're talking about.
And good for you. Don't watch them. It's bad for your health.

llamelo is just a guy who puts up huge games and people will go "yeah whatever we don't care". But if ANT puts up similar numbers or slightly better or worse he's becoming the next basketball God. I'm not sure I understand it, even well enough to criticize it. Maybe I"m imagining it?

Because Edwards passed the ball not only because he wants assists and is not comparable to a flaccid traffic cone on defense. At times at the end of the game Edwards will isolate and play that 1v1 because it's half court, a slogfest and we need a bucket. But he's happy to help teammates get into the flow and will pass and move off ball, Lamelo is not interested in doing this at all. It's pretty average to watch. He's not hitting Williams when he gets a good seal, when Miller was going he wasn't really helping him get to spots at all
Lamelo is a painfully negative player. I get he has the talent and shown some great isolation possessions, flashy passes, but it's not gonna translate to wins. Just an all star selection. It isn't helping the Hornets
