*Disclaimer: Let me preface this by saying I'm not that high on Devin Booker but alot of people are*

Let's switch this comparison to the Guards.

23yr old Tyrese Haliburton is having a fantastic breakout yr while 27yr old Devin Booker is playing steady ball as usual. Both scorers, both shooters, and Hali who hardly turns over the basketball with now Booker being more of a facilitator.

Who Would You Rather Have: Tyrese Haliburton or Devin Booker?

I’d take Haliburton over Booker, Shai and Fox. The only guard i wouldn’t take over him going forward is Luka.

No I love Halliburton but Shai is clearly the best guard in the league right now.

I'd take Booker for lakers

Haliburton would be a cheat code at 27

Shoot , Hali seems better than Shai

Would be nice to have them both on the Suns instead of passing on the sliding Haliburton for Jalen Smith, particularly since the Suns biggest need was a young pg for the future.

Tyrese easily.

Tyrese I can build a team around. And he makes everyone better. At 23 years old he’s already the best passing point guard in the league. While being a great scorer and shooter.

This dude in 5 years will have every single team clamoring for him when he’s a free agent and inevitably leaves Indiana.

Y'all really need to start valuing defense more.

Devin Booker put 47 on Lebron and put him out in round 1 when the Lakers were the favorites.

Never seen Haliburton in the playoffs.
But probably won't have any performance that gets drilled in your brain like Booker's G7 2022 performance.

I feel like EPM evaluates them pretty fairly:

Haliburton: +9.4 offense (100th percentile), -2.2 defense (5th percentile), +7.2 overall (99th percentile)

Booker: +5.6 offense (98th percentile), -0.8 defense (41st percentile), +4.8 overall (97th percentile)

Also, remember Haliburton’s 23. When Booker was 23, his defense was terrible. Booker is pretty close to his peak now and he’s a borderline top 10 player. Haliburton’s super young, getting better by the day, and he’s already a top 5 player easy. His floor is higher than Booker’s ceiling.

It's a legit question considering Booker is 4 years older.

Lol at using the playoffs argument. How soon we forget.

I still vividly remember Booker being called out as a career loser in this place before CP3 came to the Suns.
