This is how it should be done if they want to give it some legitimacy.

Not just that, but they should have had cigars in the locker room, poured champagne in the locker room with the trophy, do a ring ceremony, and have a parade in downtown LA.

Its a team trophy from legitimate tournament, not individual award from truly exhibition event. You might not care for the cup, but we wont do anything about it now, are we?

Well there actually was poured champagne in the locker with the trophy, $500k bonus, individual medals ceremony (instead of rings) and now a banner... only need a parade now

It should be commemorated, especially if they want to add legitimacy to it. But it’s not the same as a championship, even getting a top seed during the regular season is more of an accomplishment.

Definitely an Adam Silver "suggestion" to build legitimacy for the cup.

Also, Shams said that each team will just have 1 banner for all IST cups, they'll add the years/dates for each win on a single banner.
