No one can beat a healthy Celtics team in a 7-game series.

This is a STATS-BASED thread that supports an argument that the Celtics will beat any opponent in the playoffs if they're healthy. Don't come at me with your emotions.
- Best net rating in the league at +9.2
- Second-best net rating for starters at +7.7
- Third-best net rating for bench at +3.2
- Top 4 in both offensive rating and defensive rating. No other team is top 4 in both.
- The best defensive backcourt in the league.
- Two of the best forwards in the league in Tatum and Brown, and arguably the best duo in the NBA.
- Top 5 center
- Tatum top 5-10 player
- Brown top 10-20
- KP top 10-20
- Every starter arguably top 50.
This team is strong at the top and is deep. It can play lockdown defense when it's focused and dialed in. It has so many offensive options so if 1-2 players are cold on a given night, they still have a good chance to win.
I just don't see how anyone can beat this team in a 7-game series if they are healthy.
It's not happening.
Come back to this thread in June and congratulate me.
The true.

I think we've heard similar arguments like this in any of the past 6 or 7 years. The Celtics have been such a good team for so long but they always lack that extra oomph at playoff time.
This is a superstar's league and the playoffs is when one guy can **** over everyone's statistical favorite. I've seen it happen time and again. Well rounded team full of very good players blitz their way into the playoffs, then get bounced by a team with a decent but not outstanding record but has a legit superstar. It's just the way it is. You're either one of the 4 or 5 team that have an actual superstars, or you're everyone else.
And yes, I'm aware of Jayson Tatum.

Very talented.
But they're soft and mentally weak.
As a Heat fan, I know.

What'a their plus/minus in the playoffs when Jimmy is on the floor? What's Jaylen Brown's playoff plus/minus when Draymond is on the floor?

Make the exact same analysis for the last 5 years for the team that eventually won the title.

Keep in mind, this is the same user who has created such threads like “the Celtics are mid” and constantly says the Sixers and Bucks will make the ECF.
I’m not sure if we’re dealing with someone with a split personality, but somethings not right at home

What Jokic will do to Horford in the Finals will be tantamount to elder abuse.

I don't know, I like Boston, I recognize they are the best team in the regular season this year but I just don't know how much I trust them in a tight playoff game against a top tier team. I want my boy D. White to win a ring but if you put a gun to my head I wouldn't pick them as champs.
Hope I'm wrong though

Agree they are strong and are one of the favorites. And all your stats are fine. But playoffs are different. What I think has been missing in the past is who on the team is the one who will lead them to the championship. Every champion has someone who has stepped up. Here is who did it the last 5 years:
2023 Jokic
2022 Curry
2021 Giannis
2020 Davis
2019 Kawhi
These players just don't take over a game. They take over a series. For Boston to win, I fully expect Tatum will be the one who takes over the series. Until I see that, I withhold judgement.
But I fully expect to see them, at the very least, in the ECF.

45% is a huge favorite compared to any of the 15 other teams that make the playoffs.

They won't have to worry about facing Draymond in the playoffs this year.
Butler on the other hand...
