The Raptors and Pacers are actively engaged in trade talks centered around two-time All-Star forward Pascal Siakam that would send him to Indiana for a package that includes Bruce Brown Jr., other salaries and three first-round draft picks, league sources tell The Athletic.

The Raptors have been engaged in discussions with several teams on a potential Siakam deal, but conversations with the Pacers have gained steam in recent days, those sources say. Sources briefed on the talks between the two teams say that there have been several back-and-forth proposals made. While the two sides have been described as being far along in the process, according to those sources, they have yet to finalize or agree to a deal.

It is done. Good move the Indy imo. Siakim gives them another 20+ ppg scorer and a primary wing defender. Solid gamble for a team that's trending in the right decision, so long as he re-signs of course.

Pacers are desperate for an all star to team with Haliburton, but is Siakam that guy? I don’t love the fit next to Haliburton.

I honestly love the trade if Siakam said he would stay with the Pacers. Haliburton and pascal will be such a good duo, add in Turner and it can be great

Yes. He's that guy. He was that guy with kawahi when they won the championship and since 2019 siakam has gotten better at every aspect of his game.

I don't know, but he'd definitely look better with someone like Hally setting the table.

If he was a few years younger I'd love it for Indy. He's a great fit but I wouldn't want to pay him big money into his 30s, and I certainly wouldn't want to trade 3 firsts (and Brown) for the not even guaranteed privilege of doing so

I like the Siakam fit for Indy and Brown is a good trade chip for Toronto if they want to flip him to a contender.

2 of those firsts are probably gonna be in this years weak draft (i think). And if indy offers siakam the 5 year deal he's staying. If they manage to land pascal with just giving up brown then this makes the pacers super dangerous... he fits so well with that team if if pacer fans think hali is that dude that can lead them in the playoffs Siakam is the perfect guy for him.

there is zero path for indy to take the next step as a team w/o making a trade like this. they have hield who's a UFA. if they don't make the deal then their future rests on the development of mathurin and walker - that will probably kill 2-3 years of hali's prime years. windows to make the next step close quick for alot of teams.
