FormatAs the league celebrates basketball’s deep roots in the state of Indiana, the 73rd NBA All-Star Game will feature the return of the classic matchup between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. The traditional scoring system with four 12-minute quarters will also return.
While the NBA All-Star Game will no longer have an untimed fourth quarter or conclude when one team reaches or surpasses the Final Target Score, the teams will continue to compete to win each quarter for a charitable organization of their choosing.
NBA All-Star Game team captains have still been named to lead their respective teams. The captains are the All-Star starter from each conference (Giannis Antetokounmpo, East and LeBron James, West) with the most fan votes in his conference during NBA All-Star Voting presented by AT&T.
NBA and Pacers Sports & Entertainment to host more than 50 social impact and youth basketball events as part of NBA All-star 2024NBA announces beneficiaries for 2024 All-Star GameThe NBA announced today that it will partner with two local Indiana-based charities – Special Olympics Indiana and Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis – as part of the 2024 NBA All-Star Game to help provide funding and support to each organization. Here are the details:
The Eastern Conference All-Stars will play for Special Olympics Indiana.
The Western Conference All-Stars will play for Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis.
Each organization will start the All-Star Game with $100,000 and an additional $240,000 will be awarded to the charity of the winning team.
Additionally, through the NBA Cares State Farm Assist Tracker program, $1,900 will be donated for each on-court assist during the All-Star Game with those funds being split evenly between both charities.

Rising Stars tournament starting at 9pm ET? That's 3am here, wtf, it's gonna end at like 6 or 7, it's the only event I was interested in. Nobody wants to watch the stupid celebrity game they could have slotted it last.

That's probably the exact reason rising stars is last, because it's the main attraction. Headlining act always comes on last right?

I kid you not, but I looked at the celebrity rosters and I only know ONE GUY from both teams... Ron Artest.
And I'm happy with that.

You're probably not the intended audience.

professional athletes shouldn't be able to play in the celebrity game.
I'm always shocked that they can't get real celebrities. Like why wouldn't drake play in this?

Rising Stars should be fun, I'm sure we'll see some ridiculous stuff from Wemby since it's an exhibition game. Hope the return to West vs East will make the actual all star game more entertaining but I'm sure it'll be another snoozefest

And Pippen was in that game... remember him blocking Bieber's 3, that was hilarious

This part is definitely not for me, so I am not bother on ranting, I never really knew any of these celebrities ever, and nowadays, I guarantee I will not recognize any of these, the most recent musical artist I still aware existed was Charli XSX or whatever, that was it.
