There is a debate in the all star game thread...I'm curious what the perception of him is.

Probably need to see more of him in the nba rather than judging him during allstar weekend to truly know this lol.

There are less talented guys that are currently in the NBA, IMO.

His first real nba game he put up 20/9/9... He has talent that is more than just dunking...His G-league stats are amazing...he has won many awards... He snever got a real shot tho...
He is giving it all to make the NBA and has done everything right...Some1 just needs to give him the contract...

He absolutely is worthy of a bench scoring role on an NBA team that doesent have title aspirations. I dont see why hes not given an opportunity to be a bench guy on a team thats trying to tank.
I guess teams would rather use development minutes on young guys they draft instead?

Suns have an open roster spot and i would absolutely love him... So u were right in the first half and wrong in the 2nd half... You couldnt ask for a better end of bench guy...There are so many guys in the nba worse than mac...

He looked good Friday night.
But I've never watched him play an actual game.

IMO he should be on a roster (on a two-way at least). There are several two-way players who are worse than him.

People treat him like hes some meme dunker...
If he never gets a shot it will be one of the saddest story of a guy who gave his all and no1 cared....

He’s a massive liability defensively. He can put up some points tho. Wouldn’t be more than 14/15th man with a very specific role.

Yes, if you're asking if he can find a job in the NBA somewhere. No, if you're asking him to be anything better than the 13th man on a roster.
Garrett Temple is still in the league strictly to be a vet mentor (and I like GT). Mac is better than him right this very moment. Mac is also in my opinion better than Thanasis and Yuta Watanabe. The problem is, all the guys I listed are at least 6'6. Charlotte had Frank Ntilikina before the trades as well and he has never been worth a damn.
The other issue is, there's no scalability in developing him. So the only reason you would keep him on the roster is hoping he's a fan favorite or being a great locker room guy. Hey, in the case of the latter, it happened for a scrub like Robbie Hummel for a few seasons, maybe it can happen for Mac.

This poll shows the problem with society imo...The majority of people are brain dead and cant think for themselves.

Not even close, he's hung around numerous rosters and showed absolutely nothing in terms of NBA level talent and abilities. G-League, yes but NBA hell no

Watanabe is actually pretty good. He's a good floor spacer and really solid defender.

Yeah, not really. He's mediocre at best. There's a reason he's playing on minimum contracts.

Five different NBA teams have given him a shot.
