Not even a hot take as these things generally tend to be. If we considering pure skilled offensively, and not defense or dominating athleticism. Then yeah they are for sure that duo. They both have all time level skill based moves.

As far as the casual 'skill' and 'bag' go then sure.
People will read too much into it, obviously there are better duo's, and ones that fit better etc etc

I am really keen on seeing this Mavs team in the playoffs.
This is going to determine how they are viewed.
As of right now though, they are a treat to watch.

Offensively, they are a good choice.
A lot of time when skill is talked about, it is offense or more accurately scoring/passing skill, which, okay, that is fine, we just have to understand that it is what we are talking about.
If we do a comprehensive evaluation of skill it has to be offense and defense.
Offense:
Passing
Isolation scoring
Off ball scoring
Transition scoring
Outside shooting
Mid-range shooting
Close range shooting
Basket finishing
Ball handling
Post skills
Offensive rebounding
Defense:
Defensive rebounding
Man to man defense (perimeter and post)
Help defense
Shot blocking / Rim protection
Steals/Deflections
Might have missed something. We would then have to rank in all those areas and then see what it comes out to. We'd have to take into account positions, for example Derrick White won't block as many shots as a big, but his shot blocking skill is superior to some bigs who get more blocks.

What does this post even mean? Kyrie has been, at worst, a solid defender this year, and is averaging 5.2 assists / 1.8 turnovers. Not really sure how many assists you expect from the starting SG alongside Luka.
