Here's what changed last night:

West:

↔️ 6. New Orleans: Remains 6th, 1.0 game up on (7) Phoenix for the final guaranteed playoff spot
↔️ ☑️ 8. Sacramento: Remains 8th, locked into the Play-In (joining Warriors and Lakers)
⬆️ 9. Golden State: Rises to 9th
⬇️ 10. L.A. Lakers: Drop to 10th

The Kings, Warriors and Lakers are tied at 45-35, which leads to a multi-team tiebreaker. Since none of the teams lead the Pacific Division (that is the Clippers), the next tiebreaker is better winning percentage in games against each other.
Kings: 6-2 (4-0 vs. LAL, 2-2 vs. GSW)
Warriors: 5-3 (3-1 vs. LAL, 2-2 vs. SAC)
Lakers: 1-7 (1-3 vs. GSW, 0-4 vs SAC)

Image

East:

↔️ 3. New York: The Knicks remain 3rd, 1.0 GB of (2) Milwaukee and 1.0 game up on (4) Cleveland
☑️ 9. Chicago: The Bulls clinch the No. 9 spot in the Play-In and will host the No. 9 vs. No. 10 game against Atlanta
☑️ 10. Atlanta: The Hawks are locked into No. 10 with Chicago’s win

And here are the scenarios that will be in play today:

And here's a pretty cool Yahoo article I just found with lots of info on where each team sits and what's at stake today:

Heads up: Everyone plays tonight, then everyone is off tomorrow (no games), then everyone plays Sunday with lots of games early in the day. And then I can stop making game threads yay.

I will be watching some combo of Philly/Orlando, Indiana/Cleveland or Milwaukee/OKC to start the night. Followed by New Orleans/Golden State and Sacramento/Phoenix. Playoff games in the regular season. The only game I'm certain of the winner is Philadelphia, which means the game will be a dogfight.

I am personally excited to do basically anything else with my morning coffee haha.

But I say that now and then after the playoffs I'll be wondering what to do with myself and wishing I had games to watch and game threads to make.

I think OKC and Minny might both like it better if it finished OKC 2 and Minny at 1

OKC would prefer #2 and Denver #1 because they avoid Denver and Dallas in the first 2 rounds. Would get Minnesota with home court in rd2

As a GS fan, I will be glued to GSW/NOP. Or at least I will when I get back from poker night and watch it "on tape", as they say.

Trying to run through the scenarios to see where the Lakers could possibly end up. Lakers could win both their remaining games or split them and still stay at 10. Honestly that seems like the likely scenario for them.

Pelicans @ Warriors & Suns @ Kings will greatly impact the Lakers chances of moving up. I assume the Lakers take care of the Grizzlies. So assuming it breaks the way the Lakers need (Pelicans & Suns both win today) then the standings will be:

6. Pelicans 49-32
7. Suns 48-33
8. Lakers 46-35
9. Kings 45-36
10. Warriors 45-36

Then on Sunday the Lakers would have to beat the Pelicans, cause I assume the Warriors and Kings will both win their last game. Catch for the Lakers is that if Pelicans and Suns end up tied at 49-33, then I think Suns get the 6 spot due to the tiebreaker. So the Pelicans will need to win. Suns are playing the Wolves on Sunday and I am not sure if the Wolves will be fighting for seeding as well (probably will be). Lakers/Pelicans and Suns/Wolves are at the same time so likely all 4 teams will need to win.

Should be interesting.

Enjoy!

We're going on Sunday as well. Season finale vs Pistons.

Good timing, too. Because we will not have to deal with downtown Fiesta traffic (starting next week) .

Which was normally the case years back.......when the Spurs were hosting PLAYOFF games (mid-late April/May Fiesta, Battle of Flowers parades, Cinco de Mayo festivities, etc) lol

Warriors win tonight as Draymond said not long ago: "I don't think anybody's worried about the New Orleans Pelicans."
