The fact that the Lakers dominated them in the regular season and even a couple days ago makes me think the Pelicans will get it together for this game and win

But since that is strange (considering Lakers usually draw a lot of people per se), for me, it would seem that smart money knows (AD's health?) Pels are the right play, so Vegas are trying to even that using the public to bet on the Lakers to even the action.

I'd love nothing more than to see the Lakers sent home. However, things being how they are in today's league, I won't be surprised to see the Lakers get a win... by whatever means necessary.

I am also confused by the line and surprised Pelicans are a slight favorite. It makes me wonder if AD is actually playing in this game because if not the line is confusing.

Davis is listed as questionable. Smart thing to do would be to sit AD and hope his back gets better. Lakers are in a win win situation.

Sit AD and beat NOLA and AD can rest for the Nuggets

Sit AD and lose to NOLA and have AD rested against warriors/kings and avoid showdown against the nuggets

Except, Warriors have Steph who can still go nuclear in a game and Kings have beaten Lakers 8 out of 9, including all 4 this season.

Of course they are. This is quite possibly an elimination game for them. The only reason to hold them out and potentially lose would be if they felt assured of winning against either of GS or SAC and that the OKC matchup was better than that of DEN.
