Anthony Edwards vs. Devin Booker - Battle for Best SG in the League

This is one of the first round matchups I'm most excited about, these two are the best shooting guards in the league, its not often we get a 1v1 matchup like this with the premier players at their position.

Both are great scorers and both like to dig in and defend. And both of them are ultra competitive and will want to take it to the other guy on a personal level.

What do you think of the matchup and who do you think is gonna win it?

Booker is straight up a better, more efficient scorer. He's got a polished attacking style that's consistent and effective. I'm not big on Booker's playmaking but I think he's at least solid in this department.

Ant is a bigger talent (longer, stronger, more athletic) but he's more wild. At his best he's puncturing the defense and getting dunks and kick out threes, but there are nights where he's a bit messy. Ant is much better on defense, mostly due to his physical tools.

I think it's Booker until Ant can take it from him.

Struggling to see a pro-Ant argument until he gets much better in the RS. And we are coming off a postseason where Booker obliterated even the best of Ant's brief/few postseason performances.

Sure, Booker can be better, but that doesn't mean Ant can't win the matchup and take the reigns.

I'm especially excited to see a super motivated on defense Edwards against a motivated on defense Booker. You know they're gonna be guarding each other and taking it personal. Its gonna be great.

Right now. I think it's Booker.

In a year or two, my money is on ANT to be the better player. He is simply more talented thus has the higher ceiling. If he figures out to play under control and execute for his team, I'd take him over just about anyone. He is only 22 so no reason to think he wouldn't.

Book pretty easily for me. Ant is a lot more athletic but he has pretty questionable decision-making.

I think it's Book for now, although Ant can definitely change that take in the playoffs, they're going up against each other right away after all.

I guarantee you ant will be guarding Beal until Beal light him up, then we can have the Booker comparisons

He should be paired with a playmaking forward, 2 wings, and a big man. For example, he would look great next to Luka

Personally I feel like SGA is actually a SG and as such is the best one in the league but I know he gets classified as a PG. It may be unfair because Edwards hasn't been in as many big games as Book yet but the fact Book has shrunk as badly as he did against DAL and I believe he had another poor closeout game but can't remember which one at the moment. But I know there has been some big games where I'm just like where tf is Booker at and I just haven't found that to be the case for Edwards who is also a superior defender. I can only imagine how much things would open up for Ant if he had KD.
