Shaq on top because even tho jokic got more skills and Hakeem was more versatile his level of dominance couldn't be denied.

Jokic > Shaq > Hakeem

A game away from sweeping the lakers Jokic is averaging 28/16/9 on 70 TS%. He plays the most effortless basketball i've ever seen from a player. As great as Shaq was, he doesn't elevate other guys the way Jokic does.

Peak Shaq was the most dominant player I have seen in my lifetime. Yes more dominant than peak LeBron.

Literally had to hack him just to slow him down. Lord knows if this man could make ft's he probably would have been the GOAT.

Jokic’s peak is not done so not fair really. Jokic has 3 years of his yet. Hakeem and Shaq are a head. Also the thing is I think Jokic’s peak will last longer with the style he plays.

Shaq didn't elevate guys? He collapsed the defense on the block all game long. He was extremely easy to play with.

Hakeem is 1 for me. Everyone knows he was great, but I feel like people still sleep on just how good he was.

Defensively he's on another planet from Shaq/Jokic.

Jokic
Shaq
Hakeem

Hakeem's claim here is more defensive than anything, as despite the aesthetics of his game and his capacity for raw volume, his offensive impact doesn't come anywhere near the other two even at his peak. His defense, however, is about as far beyond the other two as is their offense. Perhaps further, so that makes this whole exercise a pretty tight race regardless of final ranking.

It's significantly further IMO.

That doesn't make him the best, but it means something.

Yeah, as I said, defense is why he's in this conversation once you get past aesthetic preference. It was his actual top-end contribution. He floated volume and all that and he was pretty good at scoring, of course, but his D was what he did which was truly elite.
