Jokic is NOT him
He is playing like it this series. We can talk about all of the injuries and not having an Allstar teammate but the problem is that he is not stepping up. This is the worst series I seen him play. He seems like he doesn’t care. He has no drive. Not aggressive at all on both ends of the floor. He has poor body language.

Re: Jokic is NOT him
Watch last years playoffs. He had turned up his aggressiveness to 11 and was going off in first quarters. This year he just shows little of that. It makes him look he doesn’t care and the Nuggets have taken on his persona this playoffs.

I don’t think you can claim a 3x MVP, Champion, and FMVP as “not him”.
I feel like that is one of those things, once you hit that peak it’s not something that can be taken away.

Agreed that his body language and efforts seem to be wavering, but lets put the brakes on saying he's not him. He's already shown he's him. He's allowed to have these games and series for that matter. All the greats have them. Lets see how he handles the rest of the series.

They also get killed for having them. 2 weeks ago Jokic was playing at a level that was deemed: Greatesf offensive basketball player EVER!
Fast forward to today, and we can’t talk about how off that looks. He’s getting outplayed and may lose his spot as best player in the league.

He earned his stripes last season, just seems like the Wolves are built with beating the Nuggets in mind. The two bigs with one acting like a roadblock while the other helps is really disrupting what he likes to do, it's compounded by the fact that McDaniels, Edwards and Naw are making things a nightmare for Murray.

3 time mvp? Are you actually Big Perk or is this Eyeatoma’s burner?
I’m counting 4 time MVP
J/k I know you a real one - but he is the 4 time mvp

Styles make fights
Boston>Minny>Denver>Boston
Can't use the phrase against him when he's already proven.

If anything this shows that the Lakers are worse than a lot of people thought. The Nuggets did just turn it on and win that series 4-1. It's Minnesota that is on a different level, I don't think Denver got lucky at all.

He's facing a defense he did not face in last year's playoffs. Don't care how much people underrate McDaniels and Reid, them being out last year was huge. Especially McDaniels, his value goes up like GPII's does in the playoffs, you need a lockdown perimeter guy like him. The Wolves tonight did not miss a beat without Gobert, and their perimeter defense was the reason.

Re: Jokic is NOT him
Nah, this ain't it.
However, he's definitely gassed. And so are the rest of the starters (except Michael Porter Jr.). The only teams that tend to even make the finals back to back years out of the West are superteams (or potential dynasties). Them losing in the 2nd round isn't the worst thing in the world. They'll still be contenders next season. Just won't be prohibitive favorites.
The new CBA is going to make it harder on everyone. Kudos to Minnesota for feeling like there was a shot to win a chip and going for it. Meanwhile you have Morey deciding to punt on a season with a former MVP and wait 'til the offseason to make moves.

Re: Jokic is NOT him
With Murray hurt the Nuggets have nobody outside of Jokic that can create their own shot. Add that to Minnesota's perimeter defense and Jokic's playmaking ability dries up. He's never going to be the guy who can get you 50 on his own so when he has to do it all himself the offense is going to suck.

Yeah, they're definitely defending Murray better than I've seen any other team. Seems like against everyone else, the guy has been able to go off when the Nugz need it.
Credit to KAT's skill set. He's allowing the 2 big defense to work while his shooting prevents clogging things up on offense.

Yeah. Pretty much a perfect example of today’s sports and pop culture.
