Kings Ownership Unhappy with Mike Brown

Post#1 » by doogie_hauser » Thu May 23, 2024 6:26 am

Read on Twitter

Been widely reported on several news outlets. Seems like Mike Brown is well and truly on the hot seat.

Will probably survive but definitely needs to make the playoffs again next season with the Kings.

They definitely need to resign Monk

You have got to be kidding me. Mike Brown overachieves in year 1, and year 2 there aren't any roster improvements while the West gets better and he is the scapegoat?

What a joke. I sincerely hope for Kings fans and Mike Brown that this is a false report.

he's nothing special. I can't imagine it'd be hard to find a better replacement. I imagine there's some contract negotiations going on and playing these games through the media is a negotiating tactic poorly run organizations resort to.

SAC won 48 wins last year with all rotations players played more than 73 games. This year they won 46 wins with couple injuries and with new NBA rule for Stars missing games. I dont know, but for this squad is unreachable 50W season in WEST conf.

Fix the roster holes first before replacing the coach.

The Kings think they should have more than 46 wins with that roster?

Their owners seem to think so.

From the articles I have read, they are probably going to offer him an extension, but at a heavily discounted rate, which could possibly mean he could be a target of other franchises looking for a new coach (aka Cleveland)

Kings ownership perhaps looking to penny pinch again (which is disappointing for Sacramento fans)

Lol ofc its on the coach...
Look at their roster, who should they beat from top 10 teams just looking at the rosters?

Well sactown will go down hill fast no playoffs for another 3-7 years how can you expect the team
To improve if you the front office doesn’t make any improvements from season to season it’s ratio boom the coach yeah it’s his fault the players got hurt with no roster moves to get better while the west is as stacked as ever good grier

I think its a BS tweet and source.

Don't think thats its real.

Probably some doomsday local media hack like those clowns on the Denver radio station that said to blow up the Nuggets after losing to Minnesota.

That's just silly. How is it Brown's fault? What do they expect with the roster compared to the juggernauts in the West?

Even them making it past the first round would be considered an overachiving team with that roster.

Nah it’s over 121 to 107

Clippers go on a 15-0 run right after this, and eventually win the game.

the rot is still at the core, i see

make the playoffs once in 16 years and suddenly the ownership lets the whole situation fill up their heads

Typical blame the coach bs, when they literally were missing the backbone of their scoring punch with Monk and Huerter out. Watch them lose Monk this summer and not replace him, and then blame their staff for underachieving.

The ceiling is capped for any team that has Sabonis. They could trade Fox for Luka and they would still be a 2nd round exit.

What a joke. I sincerely hope for Kings fans and Mike Brown that this is a false report.

I don’t think they realize how devoid of individual talent this team has, and how much the coach is helping. Whoever gets in there is going to run the exact same stuff if they cut brown loose.
