See poll.
Not a trap. Just want to see the mood of the board on this one.

100% guranteed to be below 50 wins. Look at that roster.

You'd get a more revealing poll response with a more realistic wins mark. Vegas has the Warriors at 43.5.
I'm not saying there's zero chance they win 50 but it's so far above expectations that hardly anyone would vote for it.

Love my Warriors but I give them a 1% chance of 50+ wins as currently constructed.
I would put the over/under at 42.5 wins.

I think 45 wins would be a solid season for them as currently constructed. 50 would require one or more of their young guys making a big leap.
Personally this feels like the season the wheels come off for them.

Re: 2024-25 Golden State Warriors. 50 wins?
I'm not seeing 50 wins.
They're coming off a 46-win season, lost a scorer, have back-slid on defense these past couple seasons. They don't have Chris Paul.
Kyle Anderson should help on D. Buddy Hield should help with shooting. Tons and tons of questions around them at the moment. They don't feel like a particularly relevant team at the moment without further changes.

Under, Klay was huge near the end of the RS for them and Paul was an awesome 6th man who made that bench a legit force.

Neither are true.
Klay may have had a handful of efficient, big scoring games but his defense was terrible all season and it caused an imbalance between offense and defense that Kerr was never able to overcome.
As for CP3, his role was overtaken by Podz after CP3 got hurt and that was more responsible for our late season improvement than CP3 getting healthy.

Re: 2024-25 Golden State Warriors. 50 wins?
If Moody, Kuminga, Podz and Jackson-Davis get minutes over the FA they brought in with Steph, Draymond, Looney, Wiggins and Payton, then yes, they have a chance to win 50 games. If they can't beat out Melton, Anderson and Hield, then it's going to be a long season. The Warriors are all of a sudden a very deep team, even if they still lack needed rim protection. I'm not a fan of Hield or Kyle for the most part, but I will say that they are NBA players and if they are your 11th-12th men, you have a pretty darn good team.
Draymond needs to be a leader and not a moron though. After last year's debacle, I think the Warriors have as good of a chance to get to the playoffs as anyone in the West, but no shot at a title though. Need to do a better job protecting Home Court as well.

I'll take the over 43.5 but I don't think they get to 50.
7 teams won 50+ games last year. I don't put Golden State in the top 7 teams of the league at this moment.

Unless Kuminga has an All-Star breakout season, how's this team breaking 50?

Re: 2024-25 Golden State Warriors. 50 wins?
I think there's a chance they structurally improve with the young guys and the nice defensive fit of SloMo (I don't think people realize how good and versatile he is on that end) and Melton. I think Podz and Trayce are pretty legit and Kuminga still has a chance to hit on some of his upside.
But I don't trust the health (and/or decline) of Steph and Draymond enough to win 50 games in a brutal Western Conference where 13 teams are trying to win 50 games.

Buddy Hield, Kyle Anderson, and Melton will provide them with some bench depth that they desperately need but Wiggins seems to have regressed from their title run a couple of years ago. Green isnt the same player, and their center rotation is pretty bleak. They look like a .500 team to me.

Re: 2024-25 Golden State Warriors. 50 wins?
Could they have a season where most everything breaks right. Few injuries, everyone playing well, win a few extra close games type of year. At that point then 50 wins is possible, but that could be said about all of the teams expected to win 40-something games. It's obviously not likely though.

Re: 2024-25 Golden State Warriors. 50 wins?
at this point Warriors aren't built to be a great regular season team (50+ wins).....at best they're a team that can pull off an upset in the playoffs

Re: 2024-25 Golden State Warriors. 50 wins?
Steph is 36, I think seeing Lebron has made some people take for granted that Steph is at an age where he’s going to start regressing at an increased pace. That alone makes that 50 win mark tough to expect.
