Trolling and taunting the crowd on their home soil is something not many athletes would try. Embiid has the heart and guts to talk back to the crowd booing him. He had the entire crowd engaged all game long. I don't care how much hate he gets. That dude is one of the most entertaining players to watch.

To each his own I guess. Personally I think he looks totally foolish out there. At least when Barkley did this back on the original Dream Team he backed up his actions with his play.

If you say entertaining personality some might agree, but entertaining player? There are way more entertaining basketball players on the court any given night.

Can’t go rile up and troll the crowd to turn around and airball a 3.

Nobody is going to be scoring 30 in these games. We have multiple stars who all need shots.

He is already recognized as one of the best centers in NBA history. The only thing on his resume he's missing is a championship.

Low class and actions unbecoming. He's a representative of our country and just another example of why other nations have a negative view or perception of Americans in general.

The wins or losses are irrelevant.

Sure, the TEAM keeps winning games, but that hasn't really had much to do with Embiid. The guy has been one of the worst players on this team, yet he's acting like he's some amazing talent out there.
BTW, very few people outside of Philly would take Embiid over most of the great centers who have played the game. Sure he can stat his pads like an expert, but as to being a winning player - not so much.
As to your original point about him being entertaining, that is true - just like the clowns at the circus are entertaining.

Kobe past was questionable and he was literally the most popular Olympic player of our generation.

Embiid is not doing anything questionable off the court. He's just taunting the crowd back.

Watched only the first half but Embiid looked awful out there. I mean might just have been the worst player out there, also counting Puerto Rico players. Unlikable character and playing style.

Embiid is a top 3 player in real life bro. He was damn near going to win back to back MVP's had he not got injured last season.

He's the best player on Team USA when it comes to the NBA league. You talk like he's a bum. He's just not a good fit for this team still doesn't change the fact he's the best player.

I mean, sure, if you want a guy who's going to flop around on the floor like a fish on dry ground for 3 quarters, and pad his stats every chance he gets, and who ultimately is capable of getting your team to the 2nd round of the playoffs, then sure, Embiid is the guy!!! Otherwise...not so much.

Maybe France should worry more about that massive beating Germany handed them and less about Embiid.

I find both his play style and his personality unlikeable and not entertaining at all. To each their own.

This is like if Zaza Pachulia taunts the crowd in the 2017 GSW season. Dude’s making minimal impact on the team and acting like he’s big cheese.

If he were that good and talented offensively, then he would like Durant out there f’ing around and score 20 points with ease.
