Why LeBron was not drafted?

Team 7 is by far the best IMO. I'd have easily drafted Curry 1 overall given this rule-set, as offball play and shooting are the two skills that scale up the most in value when surrounded by other incredible players. All players fit together, have clearly defined roles. The team can rebound, shoot, pass, and defend at a high level.

After that I really like teams 1/2/4 as the pieces fit together well.

Team 8 is bad outside Jokic. Team 3 pieces dont fit together well. Team 6 cant shoot.

TBH you left a lot of good players undrafted, so there is no team I'm really a big fan of. Seeing things like Alex Caruso in a best player of the 40 years draft is just wild. Especially when there are tons of more accomplished defensive guards undrafted like Alvin Robertson, Moncrieff, or Michael Cooper. Same goes for drafting Porzingis and starting him over Barkley.

I give it to team 5. I'd say it's the most consistant team without any weak spot. I'd start Dr. J over Pierce though, he won an MVP in 81 and placed at least 3rd in MVP voting between 80-82. You have on each position 1 player that has a solid case to be an all time top 5 player on that position. Also like Zo as backup Center, he is criminally underrated today. Think I'd even start him over 80s Kareem.

Team 7 is probably the 2nd best overall, feel that there would have been better options than Jrue & Peja but I get the idea behind taking them.

Those are the two that stood out to me as well. I went with #7.

I'm assuming the two obvious guys were left out to make things interesting. I like the idea.

I'd go with Team 5 first, then 7.

I go with the MVP who ran some of the greatest offenses the world has ever seen who had an elite pairing with Dirk, one of the greatest 7 foot tall floor spacers the world has ever seen, surrounding the most dominate center the world has ever seen, with a guy who had the best of skills of a shooting guard while being in the body of someone 6foot9 and one of the most elite wing defenders ever.

Also that bench is ridiculous.

I personally would be starting Vince over AK47 and give Nash 4 options on the court at all times, but I get the logic here.

Team 1 is ungaurdable.

Team 1 and 7 are the best.

Team 3 and 6 are the worst.

Rest inbetween.

Another post for 1 and 7. I voted for 1 but I feel like it's a bit of a cheat if you are taking absolute peaks, as McGrady had a year where he was the best player in the league but the rest of his prime doesn't match other greats.

It bothers me that the C is at the top of some teams but at the bottom for others.

Voted T1 because you have a couple of my all time favourite players on it and I think they'd be mighty competitive. Kirilenko and Payton can lock up any other two players on the other team, Shaq and Dirk are pretty great combo down low.
Cheers

Team 1 got the defenders to slow down Team 7. Payton and Kirilenko can lock up Curry and Luka. They also got Marion off the bench. They have better offensive firepower too. Nash, Tmac, Dirk, Shaq, VC off the bench is crazy.

Only problem of T1 is they dont have a backup big what if Shaq gets in foul trouble? Also Curry and Luka might hunt down Shaq and Dirk on offense.. interesting matchup
