I'm sure he brings a lot more money than that to the team, so it's probably money well spent from a financial aspect.

Makes perfect sense for the warriors.
While they develop their young players they at the same time fill the chase center and sell a lot of merchandise. Biggest draw in the league, so not exactly a money pit.

Back pay for increasing the value of the Warriors all these years. Lacob's group bought the Warriors for $450M.

DIsappointed at Steph. Would have hoped he would go the Duncan route and try to build the team to maybe one more run. I guess he wants to be mid and just get the bag.

The amount of money these people get is absurd. Meanwhile hundreds of thousands of people starving on the streets in our very own country. Anyways, congrats to Curry.

I love how realgm collectively goes into great depression frugality with their response to every extension.

Pretty sure that's just an estimate of the vet max based on cap projections. Every all-star level player is going to be making that in 2028. It's just set by how much revenue the league is pulling in, so sure, it's a big number, but it's just the players fair share.

Fantastic hopefully he doesn't decline too much with age. Love watching him play.

Does this make it more likely that he will be traded? Having him locked up till 2027 may make him a more desirable asset.

Worth every penny for what he did for the franchise. Took them from the gutter to heights they couldn’t imagine.

He can't get more than a 1 year extension because of the over 38 rule.
