Mikal Bridges

Post#1 » by Decipher » Sat Oct 19, 2024 6:46 am

I’m a Nets fan but hold no grudges against him

Fact is that he seems like a good guy, the Nets suck and he’s gone to a better team for a big return so no harm, no foul as far as I am concerned

However, it’s also a fact that he was pretty bad for us at both ends post Xmas last season and his shot now looks terrible

I’m aware that it’s preseason but it’s the GB so flame away

Didn’t want him. Didn’t think he was necessary. But for him to come over here and “fix” his jumpshot by completely destroying it is just disrespectful

Both mikal and KAT both came here and forgot to bring their shooting with them. Really nice trades. Thought this front office was done being stupid

Is that really his form? That's not gonna end well if he keeps shooting like that.

Here are college highlights:

;pp=ygUgbWlrYWwgYnJpZGdlcyBjb2xsZWdlIGhpZ2hsaWdodHM%3D

Form looks solid, a little quicker than what he's been doing in the NBA, sure, but his previous shot was still fine.

This on the other hand looks terrible:
;pp=ygUbbWlrYWwgYnJpZGdlcyBzaG9vdGluZyBmb3Jt

He wasn't shooting like that before. He's been a 38% 3PT shooter since 20-21, don't know if he should have really made any drastic changes. It looks now like he's shooting a different form every shot, you've gotta have the form settled before the season starts though.

And to think that the Rockets almost traded Jalen Green, Reed Sheppard, and future 1sts for Mikal. I don't know if Mikal is better than Dillon Brooks right now.

That wasn't their offer. That's what Brooklyn wanted. The Rockets offered Oladipo, Landale and some of the Nets picks and swaps back. When the Nets asked for Green and all of their picks back, the Rockets wanted the Suns picks included.

I mean, if he keeps playing like this the trade was an abject disaster. I think he'll get it together though.

Always thought he was overrated. Lacks the intangibles of a Derrick White/Jrue Holiday who are both better overall players. Scoring 20+ ppg on a scrub team doesn't move me.

Sorry. Did they win it all? I'll take my duo who have 3 rings between them. If Bridges gets it done with NY this season, then I will revise my thinking on him.

He'll be fine, he does the little things well that makes him the perfect glue guy.

He was miscast out of necessity last year on the Nets. A smaller role will lead to a greater impact.

This is a Markelle Fultz like regression. Is the guy on drugs, did he have a stroke or something? surely you can't be stupid enough to do this on purpose.

I suspect he's doing a modular thing to change the shot and this isn't the final form. If it ain't right 20 games in he needs to cut the crap.
