Draymond Green, "Thunder not serious about winning."

Draymond wrote:The one thing I see with the OKC team that is a little alarming for me is their postgame. Seven guys in the interview,” Green said. “There’s a certain seriousness that it takes to win in this league, and there’s a certain fear you have to instill in a team in order to win. You should have fun, but you have to understand, their moment is now. Their moment started last year. You go out, you have that great regular season, your clock starts now.

My apologies I meant to post this quote because it's more recent but when I did a Google search it popped up the old quote from above. It's basically saying the same thing but he changed it to say why Shai is not a superstar because he does interviews with his teammates.
This is the most recent comment he made:

Yeah. If they were serious about winning they'd play their whole careers with Steph Curry like Draymond. What, are they stupid?

Draymond is right. 7 players bonding together after a win isn’t what produces championship basketball. Cheap shots are what produces championship basketball.

They instill fear in their opponents by stealing their lunch money on the perimeter and deflecting everything inside.
Draymond is talking nonsense as usual. It's also a bit rich for a guy who notoriously lacks composure and won his titles next to a massive showboater in Steph to say stuff like this.

Extrapolate please.
Winners have a different kind of mindset. They do whatever it takes. I believed and will always believe the Celtics were a better team than the Warriors when they played in the Finals.
Draymond broke their will to fight. And that’s what winners do.

Wait is this seriously a real quote? Really?
It is very literal the type of foolish thinking you hear from non-athletes. Between the whistle and EVERYTHING outside of that is totally different. If they were lacking seriousness with their actual play - he’s right. But lacking seriousness and being lighthearted in postgame is 100% different to anyone with a functioning brain.
It’s the equivalent of saying “Draymond green doesn’t put fear in teams and lacks seriousness because he makes xyz joke on his podcast or in the tnt studio”.
Like wtf. If anything being playful outside of the game is actually great - saves the seriousness, toughness, etc for inside the lines. It’s the type of code switching every athlete needs to excel. One that Draymond even uses.
Apologies if it’s not a real quote. If it is , it’s one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever heard a professional athlete make questioning a teams seriousness because they show team comrade and are playful postgame.

Shaq and Draymond are the 2 most jealous-of-everything players of all time

Yea he's been saying it for years but he repeated it again recently. Instead of saying the team is not serious, he changed it to Shai is not a superstar because he does interviews with his teammates.

Of all things you can choose to critique a contender you come up with post game camaraderie as the reason? What a **** buffoon my god

Yea what a dumb comment especially when OKC had a better record than GSW last year and is eviscerating the league this year.
Maybe GSW should do interviews together?

Actually it's kind of a compliment really ... there's not a lot of bad things he can say about OKC so he talks about their camaraderie.
Either he is a genius to play mind games so they won't have such good chemistry or he's just really dumb to seriously think that's the reason why they won't make it to the next level.
The irony is the camaraderie of him, Steph, and Klay is the reason why they won those championships. When they lost that camaraderie, they also started losing.

The Thunder is not a "serious" team because they do interviews together. Shai cannot be a superstar because he doesn't want the attention to be on him.
Note*
The reason why they do interviews together is because they are a bunch of "dawgs" in 1 dog pound. There is no one star; the star is the entire pound. That is why they do the barking.

Every once in a while I enjoy Draymonds takes.
But 9/10 times they're trash and just shows how much he truly doesn't understand. It's ignorant to believe that ones path to success has to be the same as his.

I mean if it wasn't for Draymond and the drama he started with Durant GSW would have 2-3 more titles. So maybe he should learn to shutup.

You also seriously entertained the idea that the Warriors might be better without Steph and thought it was a good idea to create a thread for it, so...
