Is Jamal Murray washed?

Post#1 » by guynumber45 » Sat Nov 16, 2024 4:50 am

He's been terrible since returning from injury late last season. Terrible playoffs and a terrible Olympics. This season, he's averaging 18ppg on 39% from the field and 33% from 3. Even from the eye test, he can't blow by even the slowest of defenders anymore. He needs multiple screens to generate any separation.

Just wait til he faces Lakers. He'll look like maple jordan.

Im not. Jokic is the MVP of the league but Murray won them the WCF. And he killed us last season as well.

Yeah he’s cooked. Nuggets are the worst team in the league without Jokic. You put Jokic on any team in the league and it’s an automatic 50+ win team. He’s that good.

It's pretty obvious why, the Lakers have below average athleticism at the guard positions

Hopefully at least once daily and after games and practices. Otherwise those team bus / plane rides could get stinky.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

Jokic killed them while averaging a triple double. Murray was great but there was a reason Jokic WCF mvp that series

He has skill of course, but he’s never struck me as particularly athletic, at least compared to his position, and now with the injuries, idk, he needs to find his shot.

I think the Nugs should trade him, he’s a killer in the playoffs sure, but you need consistency around the best player in the league. He should have made atleast one all star by now, and now I don’t think he’ll ever be able to.

Who would want him now with his contract? Its hillarious how they saw him play in multiple big tournaments and still decided to give him 50 mil a season extension instead of getting rid of him...

He just looks slow out there, unable to really do much… he can still be a solid role player off the bench and excel.

Hayward went through something similar he can still be effective but people need to stop expecting him to be the guy he was pre injury that Murray is gone.

too early to know if this is his new normal or what

He was never playing great. He was just hot in a couple of playoff games where his dumb shots kept falling in. He was always a slow, dumb chucker that hit a lucky streak.

Its amazing watching stuff like that sometimes, how little alteration in speed can make or break a player completely. I was watching Kemba Walker in Monaco last season, and of course Kemba was way further over the hill, but man, you would never guess that guy was NBA star, he was unable to do anything at that point.
