What is Jalen Williams' Ceiling?

It's looking like with Chet out, he'll be a 23/5/5 with elite defense guy and great efficiency.

What's his ceiling? He's already a top 25 guy it looks like after being top 30 or so last year.

OKC is going to be unbeatable if Chet can stay healthy.

Very good 2nd option or elite 3rd option. Excellent player and would make any team better. I just don't think he has the 1st option capability is all and that's okay since SGA is that guy for OKC.

His defensive ceiling is what’s most intriguing here. He seems like a real swiss army knife, switchable, lengthy, able to rebound and block shots, size up. as he continues to add weight that could be huge for them.

He’ll never have the volume offensively to allow him to put up superstar stats but I think he could be a Brandon Roy-lite.

Probably around 9 feet, although as a 1%er he may have something vaulted.

Finding a comp for him is pretty hard, given that he's essentially mastered all role player duties, and does them better than anyone in the league with that type of role on a team. Cutting to the basket, finishing lobs, playing defense, hitting open 3's, setting screens, ect. H'e's essentially Tatum but playing as a 2nd option, and not as versatile on D. He's going to be this gens Butler/George, except he isn't going to have his own team.

Jalen is such an old school player, he's honestly just a frankenstein of all the wings of the early and mid 2000's.

If he were to get his own team, and showcase his talents more, I think he could reach the level that TMAc did in ORL, and that would be his absolute peak.

So all in all I think his ceiling is being at the end of the Top 10-12 best players in the league, with a slight shot to crack the Top 8 for a few years like McGrady did back in the day. He could get you 28/7/6 , and think he has legit 1st option potential.

As it stands though, I think Jaylen Brown and HOU TMac is his most realistic ceiling at this point, which is incredible for Thunder fans who already have their primary star in place.

JDub is a young Ray Allen IMO, could be the final piece to a multi champion, wouldn't ever be a number 1 more like a 2 or 3 on a championship team.

Second Team All-NBA is his ceiling. I don't think he can quite get to first team, but I am confident he can get to second.

If he's Jaylen Brown then I guess top 10-15 in the league.

Jaylen Brown isn't in the top 15 this season.

Easily young Dwade.

Much stronger and more versatility on the defensive end: I don't believe Dwade ever guarded the 5 position did he?

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ceiling: A better defensive Dwade.

That's quite an accomplishment playing with a guy being compare to MJ.

Lol this has to be a joke sorry. For one Wade himself was a prolific defender who had multiple all nba defenses under his belt. In fact he was 3rd in DPOY votes in 2009.

On top of that he's already regarded by most as the 3rd greatest SG of all time and you're claiming his ceiling is a better defensive DWade? Cmon, the thing is I really like Jalen and he's at least a perennial allstar but I'm not ready to claim he has a top 20 all time ceiling just yet.

mitch richmond and tony allen had a baby

the baby had a 3level 30 pp100 possessions scoring arsenal with game wrecking defensive abilities, physical traits and ability that enable him to play bigger than his size, which will help him hit an upper echelon of scoring efficiency (specially at the rim) than his offensive dad

keep in mind jalen williams was a bit old for a rookie, probably already entering his physical prime

So players going out top 15 after 9 games played and 4/5 games of those he played hurt?

Why not? He's putting up the same stats DWade did playing with Lebron while defending all 5 positions.

We're talking about ceiling correct?

Can Dwade defend like this?

Jalen Williams does not have the scoring ability to be Wade. Wade was a 30 PPG guy and a top 3 scorer in the league.
