Shams Charania : Warriors want a star . Lebron ?
While I'm not a big fan of him, I think a load managed Lebron could be a fantastic sideckick for Steph Curry ( just like in the Olympics) in their quest for the 5th ring : The chosen one would finally be able not to be less than Duncan, Magic and Kobe in ring count...

And what exactly are the lakers getting back?
Raul
“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”

Warriors might be one of the very few franchises Lebron would waive his NTC for as he's made several statements raving about Steph and fantasizing about playing with him. Most likely not going to happen but I wouldn't put the probability at 0%

I don’t think Lebron will sign off on a trade unless it’s a team that will be a lock for the finals.

Even if it does happen. What could warriors even give us?

I assume something like Wiggins, Kuminga, Melton, a minimum scrub (make money work) + picks. Wiggins has been solid this year though. That trade makes the Warriors worse.
Trading for LeBron's salary just isn't worth it. The team acquiring him needs to give up too much depth. LeBron isn't worth it at this point. Jeanie also likes all the money LeBron prints for her. Not gonna happen.

Disclosure: I didn't watch the segment. These fantasy stories exist solely for ratings. Lebron makes the lakers a ton of cash so the only reason LA would give him up is if a trade quickly gets them in contention. And there is nothing Golden State can offer so there is a 0 shot at a trade.
Everyone involved on this segment, including the producers, knows this can't happen. It is just for ratings.
I'm surprised Sham is participating because him participating in fantasy stories like this one weakens his credibility. Perk has 0 credibility so him participating does no harm. But really journalists value comes from being honest. So why have him participate?

Lebron wouldn't move the needle for the Dubs.
Jimmy Butler is one to look for.

To be fair, the Warriors made a big play for Lebron before the mid season trade deadline last year.

Looking at the cap sheets probably a framework around Wiggins, DeAnthony Melton (injured/expiring), Kuminga and a filler minimum salary. Maybe a player or two is switched.

The benefit of staying on the Lakers is that they will pay him the max every year until he retires. If Bron goes elsewhere he won’t get that deal. Anyways, the Warriors don’t seem as good as the start of the season suggested.

This looks like a job for the DA.
No, not the District Attorney, The Deandre Ayton.
It’s not too late to make that dream a reality.

I think that regardless of the opinion we have, if Curry asks to play with Lebron and if Lebron asks Jeanie to let him go to the Warriors, the teams will find a way to get it done.

Would be hilarious that LeBron made the Lakers give Bronny a 3 year contract, then he gets traded and they are stuck with them.
That being said, Shams is the latest to sell his soul to the ESPN machine, where it's still all LeBron all the time. It's a shame.

Re: Shams Charania : Warriors want a star . Lebron ?
Talking about LeBron is just what ESPN does. He makes too much money for a trade to be truly realistic, and honestly with how worn down he looks (though I have defended him) I'm not sure I'd want to take the risk. We'd have to trade Wiggins who is a tireless and important defender who is having a great season, plus a bunch of role guys just to get the deal done, then all the depth is gone.
3 core guys on the wrong side of 30 is not typically a championship contender, so while it's a fun ESPN talking point I don't think it is realistic. LeBron also has a NT clause and likely wants at least a full year with Bronny. Sadly I think if a trade did happen LeBron would require Bronny to come along
But it is a fun dream, team USA was just so much fun.

Once you're on espn, you typically have to adapt to their style and I'm sure Shams knew what he was getting into.

They need to get 2 quality pieces instead. Something like Kumiga and Melton for Bogi, and then Wiggins and a pick for Jerrami Grant. Steph, Bogi, Grant, Green and Looney is a potent lineup.
