No picks, capped out. Theyre good when KD plays and god awful when he doesnt. At their best, i dont think they can stick with the top teams in the West (OKC/Dallas/Memphis) and continuing to rely on a 36 year olds availability just to make the play in doesnt seem like a great plan.

Any chance they blow it up this summer and trade KD?

There really isn't much they can do. Their only trade assets are Booker and KD. They probably just continue to ride it out and hope KD is healthy when he needs to be. Unless they're going to trade KD to Houston and regain control of their draft, they don't have a lot of options and they're basically stuck with the worst contract in the NBA in Beal.

Trade Tyus for a more athletic 3 and D.

Ride it out with KD. When that ends trade Booker for maximum picks/swaps to set up the rebuild since all their own picks are gone. Then trade whatever useful vets are left for additional picks/prospects.

Not ideal by any means, and it behooves them to push that scenario out as many years as they can, but it's all they've got at this point.

Need to try and find away to trade Beal IMO

There's nothing for them to do, this is the team they got. Make some moves around the waiver wire. Thats about it.

Ride it out. Lose as much as possible and then send us that juicy pick.

KD's not that valuable if winning a title is what the end goal is. He's too old and unreliable health wise.

This is absolutely atrocious for Atlanta.

Hold out hope for good health in the PO, tinker some with the roster around the big 2 (can't call Beal 'big'). West has some vulnerabilities and KD and Booker are some all-time slick-shooting mf'ers, they def won't be favorites but gotta take your shot.

EDIT: they're also just a couple of close losses last week from being the 6th seed, no reason to panic atm.

Continuously look for desperate suitors who are willing to blow their depth and or future for expensive over the hill stars. But since that shouldn't happen, they'll have to take their lumps and ride out the cap storm.

You mean KD? Booker is 28 and Beal's not fetching back anything.

They're also a good team. They recently lost 5 straight to other good teams (OKC, MIN, ORL, NYK) and have lost 6 straight on the road, not sure they have to lose their ish about one relatively short skid under those circumstances. Unless they keep dropping games like this for a month or something, don't think there's any reason to panic now.

Beal trade was a killer for them. GM should have stand his ground and not let that happened.

The Hawks would definitely be picking up the phone to chat if the Suns could offer Beal and 2 or 3 first round picks.

I checked into it and that apparently ain't happening for Phoenix, the cupboard is bare. The Suns possibly(?) have one 2nd rounder in 2026 and zero picks other than that until 2031? That's insane...didn't the league have the "Stepian" rule that prevents teams from trading all of their picks away?
