Otherwise yeah I think they have at least as big a fanbase as the Celtics, so it's strange. Unless it's something unfortunate, like the Celtics through much of their history have been seen as a "white" team, many of their iconic stars throughout history have been white players and that's why southern states have so many Celtics fans?

Hell even Tennessee prefers the Celtics over the Grizzlies?

One team won the title last year...the other didn't do anything.

This was just for 2024. Boston dominating the regular season and then winning the title made them the default choice for locations that didn't have a strong local fan interest.

I'm a bit surprised that GS 'won' California over the Lakers as the Lakers had a marginally better season and LeBron gets more media attention than even Curry.

Looks like Canada is the true United States.

The only surprise is California and the Lakers not winning it.
Otherwise, the Celtics won the championship so no surprise they won almost every state.

I view it several times daily (I might have a problem) but rarely look at a team page. Mostly at player pages.

even as a laker fan I've been on the GS page to look up curry's stats. A lot of it might be curry driven
