Team that decided to trade Brandon Ingram because he is inefficient and low BBIQ player, also decided its smart idea to trade for inefficient low BBIQ player in Murray. What could go wrong?
This team is full of players that would be great tank commanders, Murray, Ingram, Mccollum and only player that has potential to be #1 option on a good team comes in fat as **** every season.

Even though i think Griffin has make some good moves during his tenure, he has to go because he is now there to save his job and not to improve this team. I was also saying that Green is not a HC in this league. He is solid defensive assistant but not a HC.

Ingram has to go, if we dont get anything i would let him expire before trading him for dead sallary. Im fine with CJ staying if we dont get assets for him. He is expiring next season. Murrays value will only go down. He is not a winning player and even though i would like him gone they will not trade him for sure.

This team needs to invest in Murphy and Hawkins and hope to strike a real superstar in next years draft. Herb will be Herb. He is great role player but just that.

Worst thing that can happen to this team is to get everyone back and make some run to get to 35-40 wins. They need to embrace the tank. Use the time to get that fat ass into shape, if not cut him loose and start over.

Why would they want to keep Herb Jones and Murphy? Jones especially. What value do they have on a team that is rebuilding? Jones especially, dude is 26. If you are blowing it up, you move those 2 players as well.

They have no untouchables IMO. Herb and Trey don’t deserve to rot on a multi year rebuild, and they have the highest value on the team, so why not get a haul of picks while they bottom out?


They desperately need a franchise player to build around. I don’t think they should be keeping high value role players if they plan on tanking and rebuilding.

Not that much. Yes he’s got a ton of team friendly protections in his contract but I’m not even sure what he’s gonna bring to a team right now

I'd be surprised to see them dump Dejounte for less than they traded for him and i cant see a team matching Dyson Daniels+likely lotto pick, so he's staying.

Ingram is oft injured (and injured now) and theyve been trying to find a home for him for months. Zion is also oft injured (and injured now) and theyre gonna want a star package return for him. I dont see another team giving any kind of real offer for either, but maybe the Pel's just take what they can get for Ingram and move on (expiring and a 1st?)

CJ is seen, at best, as an overpaid 6th man. You might be able to dump him for free but i dont see great value there either.

If Herb isnt available, i dont see any real value going back to the Pel's. They should dump CJ, get what they can for Ingram and close the book on the Zion era and accept theyre not getting a star package back for him. Tho i doubt they do anything other than an Ingram trade, and even then, they may decide a single 1st isnt enough

This team looked like it had serious potential years ago with a core of Ball, Williamson and Ingram. Ingram is FA so I wonder if a team is okay with giving up some assets for a potential rental.

As for Williamson: Not sure anyone wants a part time player who is due 161 million dollars for the next 3 and a half years.

Since being a Pelican, Ingram vs Leage TS%:
19-20: 58.7 vs 56.5
20-21: 58.4 vs 57.2
21-22: 55.4 vs 56.6
22-23: 58.2 vs 58.1
23-24: 57.8 vs 58.0
24-25: 56.0 vs 57.4

The ball IQ part, won't argue with that, but his efficiency has actually been fine, turnovers compared to assists for a big non point guard forward has also been solid. He has only been below league average TS% 2/5 seasons (and so far this season the 6th one, but partial season), and last season it was at 0.2%, so right at league average as that's within the +/-. Murray of course has been terrible for them, but 10 games and coming back from injury is also a factor. In the end, their injury prone roster is the bigger issue, but will there even be a change to evaluate the roster? Doesn't really matter anymore.

They have 55 games left, with 5 wins, they would need to go 30-25 to get to 35 wins, not that bad, but their problem is that all the injured guys still aren't back yet and by the time they come back, the hole is even larger, and they still have to get accustomed to each other. So I wouldn't have much concern about the winning that many games part at this point.

Trying to think where he would even fit. I can't see contending teams trading for him. A rebuilding team probably isn't going to trade for him unless they have a player in place already. Maybe the Pistons? The Hornets?

I'm sure he could easily be moved for a bad contract like Jamal Murray but I don't see teams offering a package of 3-4 picks for an oft injured guy.

Zion has to be biggest disappointment since forever, people don't want to remember now, but he had one of the best college seasons in decades and seemed like the next generational superstar.

Teams like the Pacers, Rockers, Miami, Atlanta and even the Bucks should be interested. Zion is still a top level piece and these kind of guys don't go on discount this young very often.

Dejounte being on the market again after just one offseason and just over a 1/4 of the season is just sad. They are still on the hook for the 2x FRPs and look like they gave away a stud in Dyson Daniels who would've been the perfect partner next to CJ like he is now next to Trae.

Unfortunately he and Zion still have 3 years remaining on their contracts after this season with 126.5m guaranteed For Zion & 96.7m for Murray(31.6m PO in 28). The only way any team is going to bite on trading for either one is if they included Herb on that ridiculously good contract and even Trey on his new deal.

With Ingram dealing with that nasty ankle injury and a huge contract on the horizon, I highly doubt any team trades anything of value to bring him in. They just need to embrace the tank as they are already in position at the bottom of the league with their own FRP and Milwaukee's next year. What a nasty business it is to build around Zion.

i wouldn’t trade anything of value for him if i were them.. a team like the hornets should take a shot tho.. nothing to lose on both sides.. and he’s from the carolinas

Why is Hawkins’ available? They just drafted him last year.
