What are some of your favorite sneakers growing up and currently have. I just bought my first pair of Jordans ever with the stay loyal threes and got the comfort 11 lows but the new Bird and Magic converse weapons are way more affordable and more comfortable on my feet than my Jordans.

What say you?

Did y’all see that Sabrina has the #2 worn sneakers in the league? That’s crazy. Had no idea they were that popular

Not sure my favorite, but most memorable has to be the fake AIR Jordans lol.

Parents thought it would be a good idea to buy me the fake Jordans that are made to look like the authentic Jordans. Little did I know I was going to get laughed at my first day of middle school from a kid who turned out to be my best friend lol.

I wore those shoes 1 day and never again. I always laugh with my buddy at that moment. Yes they literally made replica Jordans with the "Air" sign instead of the Jordan brand logo. Even had the same signature logo with him holding the ball and his legs. It wouldn't surprise me if that company got sued lol.

I can't be the only one who had "AIR" shoes growing up?

The TMac shoe is the one that is most emblematic of my childhood to me.

It's cool. Nike apparently isn't too good this year.

The first ever signature shoe i ever had was the Tmac 3... saved up a long time for that ( not as flush as you guys during high school ).

I still remember those shoes. Lasted me 3 years i think.

I had a pair of TD's Nike Air Max shoes when I was a kid, loved those. Also had the Answer V and IV shoes back

Reebok Pumps were my first basketball shoes (1989)
I shifted away toward running and soccer shoes between 89 and 96.
Air Penny II (Royal and White - '96)
Air Max Uptempo III (Navy and White - '97)
And then I kind of shifted away from those kind of shoes for awhile until I got to college and yearned to feel nostalgic

The most memorable basketball shoes I've owned were

T-Mac's first and 2nd shoes were giving Nike's basketball shoes a run for their money at that time. Combined that with AI's line and Kobe and Lebron really bailed Nike out by signing with them because post Bulls Jordan none of their other athletes' signature shoes around then were really catching on(although KG's 3rd shoe was nice).

As far as shoes the lasting power of the Jordan XI's is remarkable. For one model/product's popularity to span now 3 decades is uncanny. People will never get tired of this shoe.

I think the T-Macs and also the pro model 2g's were some of the reasons that Lebron seriously was considering signing with Adidas:

the Jordan 12s and 4s are my faves . The Ja Morants are dope too. The yeezys was dope too but only a certain one I forgot which numbers they are, I think 500s they called.

I took some time away from buying sneakers, and that time gave me a bit of perspective.

**** these companies that promise not to use sweatshops, while also moving their manufacturing to countries like Bangladesh where they were able to drop their average monthly manufacturing wage from $110 to $37 during the pandemic.

The sneaker industry is based on artificial scarcity, there is no need for these things to be so rare that they increase so much in value that kids were getting beaten and robbed for their sneakers.

I donated a few garbage bags of my non-DS sneakers over the past year or so, and anything that is DS or near DS I’m selling for retail price.

I’ve kept maybe two or three pairs, but I’m done with sneakers. **** supporting that industry.

I took a trip to Boston in 1997. I was told I couldn’t wear Jordan’s in Roxbury or else I would be shot and killed for them
