Good. He deserves it, though the irony of the Heat suspending a guy for demanding a trade should not be lost on anyone.

I think that's the point. They probably did 7, knowing it will be halved or brought down.

Dubious legality under the CBA. If Jimmy shows up to work/games, it's gonna be hard to dock him pay. This is like your team suspending a player it doesn't want to pay.

Miami should suspend Jimmy from games, but he has to be paid. That is the whole point of the CBA contract strcuture in the NBA. It's basically impossible to circumvent contractual play pay.

lol. Suspending him for ‘multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team over the course of the season’ that weren’t a problem until all of a sudden when he asked for a trade. I’d be appealing that ish.

Funny they didn’t think Dame should be suspended when he asked for a trade. I wonder what the difference is?

I do hope Miami front office gets railed for this. "Conduct detrimental to the team" clause is NOT a catch all for suspending players for any reason.

Where do we draw the line? Can Miami suspend Jimmy for 40 games? What determines 1 game vs 7 game vs 40 game suspension?
