They probably will, they are only 2 games behind the Bulls and the play-ins, even though they have the same amount of wins as the Trailblazers.

Right in the place they didn't want to be, need drastic change in one of 2 directions to make the PO or keep the pick, though I think tanking ship has sailed and they are looking to make the playin and make a push for the PO.

Joel and George are injured like most of the year. I am not expecting them to ever to be healthy but it's not the team I'd want to be matched up against either.

But who knows Embiid has played 13 games. We lost McCain for the year. George is injured again. Hard to see this team flipping a switch.

Are arguably a better/more cohesive team without Embiid.

That is not true but if Embiid isn't right and there is no reason to believe he will be this season (maybe not for the rest of his career), then sure

A hobbled Embiid doesn't really help much; we saw that throughout the playoffs and his entire career. He comes back, can barely move because he is still injured, isn't in shape, turns the ball over which doesn't really help the team.

If I were an opposing fan, I would much rather face Detroit or one of those other teams on the off chance they do flip a switch and Embiid is somewhat healthy for the series but it could be the optimist in me speaking.

I don't think the Cavs are losing sleep over this match up. Embiid is going to hurt and/or underperform in the playoffs as usual.

Iam sure they will make the playoffs. There is no way they are tanking having that roster and the age of their top stars. When they got PG they were all in. The main issue for any chance of success is getting the big 3 playing together down the stretch. That takes at least 20 games in my opinion. You can’t just sit the stars until the last week of the season and hope they gel in the playoffs.

I still think it's what I would expect - their chances to sneak into the play-in are like 80% (they are trending up, but injuries/etc), then they have to win 2 elimination games, at least 1 on the road.

To me it also felt inconceivable that 76ers could actually miss playoffs, and I thought maybe people just vote on reactionary emotions, or just hating, but more and more I feel like is more likely scenario. They likely to be 10 seed, and its not like East teams in play in are as trash as it would appear, it could be Magic, could be Heat, Hawks Pistons aren't the teams you beat by default anymore, winning two live or die games will be hard, and it is not like 76ers have anything going on, at least some of these play in teams, despite not being as talented, but they play together whole season, they will know what they will be doing.

I am broken record, maybe I annoy people saying same thing, if people disagree, but 76ers problem is deep, it is leadership based. Problem with them that the guys who really play and try hard, beside Maxey, are just not that talented, where top players on the team, actual difference makers, players who suppose to be leaders, not only seem to not care for these games, they set an example for the rest of the team that these games ain't matter. Yabusselle basically playing for free this year, he is just trying to showcase himself for NBA free agency, and he will play as hard as he can, but at the end of the day, it is Yabusselle. Actual League MVP is here not even pretending to care, and PG13 just seems blessed he got on a team where not doing your job is acceptable behavior, dude couldn't care less. Team enabled worst tone setters you could have in a locker room.

Don't forget the leadership and other intangibles that man provides each and every day. I'm thinking...NBA championship is their floor.
