Is all this drama really worth the Heat holding onto him at this point? They should just trade him to the Suns or release him and be done with it.

Let him sit at home and walk in the offseason. You don't take on Brad Beal to make this douche happy.

They don't want Beal or other bad contract of the suns

If Beal doesn't want to be traded then there's no deal to be made. Not sure what Butler's end game here is.

At least Beal is drama free.

Everyone: Jimmy is toxic, the HEAT are going to regret this.
HEAT Fans: Nah you don't understand HEAT culture. He just needed a team that matches his passion.
Jimmy: Oh that's what you really think?

Fast forward:

HEAT Fans: I hate to say it but...

Well he can't really block a trade.

I mean, I guess he could threaten not to report, but Heat just have to say listen, there is no Suns deal, here are your options.

Bro the funny thing about this situation now, is that the NBA just doesn't care about Jimmy now  Luka and Fox moving and what ever else happens here in the next few days will own the media for a remainder of the year. We have the new AS game format and Heat have Herro going.

At this point, Heat are probably fine with asking Jimmy to stay home, the media just won't care about this story now, and that is the only leverage Jimmy had left. Now? I think Heat are fine with playing out this year, and calling Jimmy on his bluff of picking up his PO. At that point he becomes an expiring, and his value actually goes up  and Pat will trade him anywhere and for anything he wants. Jimmy will have no say.

At this point Jimmy needs to realize this next 1.4 years left on his contract will determine what he get's after that. He's not getting moved if it's only to the Suns.

What's so great about the suns exactly? Just that they will overpay his next deal or beyond that?

Silver needs to get involved at this point. If you can't have a one team trade list, you can't have a one team trade list.

Reports are that he is telling teams he will not re-sign with them if traded there. That is killing trade opportunities. Would make no sense to pay the Heat what they want only to have Butler the rest of this season.
