No, this is not a joke.
“It’s like modern slavery. It’s modern slavery at the end of the day. Everybody can decide where you’re going, even if you have a contract. Yeah, of course, we make a lot of money and we can feed our families, but at the end of the day if they say, ‘You’re not coming to work tomorrow, you’re going over there,’ they can decide that. They got to change that a little bit.”

if only the slaves of the old days knew they could have simply walked off the "plantations" and work somewhere else.

You signed a contract mate. In a league in which trading players is allowed and happens often. If you did not want to be treated as a commodity in the league then don't sign the contract. Of course then you can't make enough money to never have to do a honest days work, but there is a choice there and the choice is yours. How many slaves in the history of man had the choice as to whether to work or not? Spoiler alert; very few.

Again, idiot millionaires comparing owners of a sports team possibly trading them (millionaires that chose to sign a contract to play a game) to owners of actual real life slaves where slaves had endured real life hardships. Just shut up with this already, my god.

What is going on with the GSW? Noone wants to get traded there and after Schroeder gets traded his numbers fall off a cliff and he compares getting traded to slavery.
Something is rotten in golden state.

OK Dennis, then let's just abolish trades in the NBA.
You sign a contract and end up in a bad situation for yourself, you can just be stuck in it until the contract expires.

Yes...all those slave masters "well you don't have to do the work. You can retire anytime you want and work in another industry". I'm sure that's exactly how it was.

You know what slaves didn't have dennis?
A choice. You dont **** like it nobodys putting a gun to your head or flogging you.
Crazy thing is there's actual slavery going on to this day and this dude makes millions talking about it being slavery.
I honestly think people who say **** like this have never actually read a history book about what happened to slaves
Hell not to long ago you had a certain king Leopold who to this day lives on in terror over there in Congo.
Dennis is an idiot.
i would like him back as a laker though.

Uhh, is the better alternative that you can't be traded but you can suddenly be fired without any warning and no longer have a salary? Because that's what the rest of us are dealing with.
