Incident at end of Raptors and Cavs Game?

Why did a vet like Tristan Thompson score on Raptors at last second of blowout (which caused a fight incidently)? I’m just totally guessing they were getting harassed by Canadians (due to obvious reasons) that night?

I saw the highlights and am wondering the details?

Isn’t Thompson Canadian?

Didn't see it but did grown men get upset that someone scored a basket again?

This is an unwritten rule. It’s a big no no if you violate it.

Yeah I know, I was just wondering why he did it. He must have had a good reason, he’s not a dumb rookie or something. He looked sort of pissed actually.

So he got stuffed on a dunk attempt with about 1 minute left in the game and apparently felt like it wasn't a clean block.

It's also a ridiculous rule governed by players with small egos.

Never understood the backlash.

Don't want to get butthurt? Win the game. Upset that garbage player is stat padding when no one is guarding him? Then guard him. If not shut the hell up and don't get the panties in a bunch. Soft.

Garbage is taking it far, Thompson is not who he once was, but he surely is not garbage, I understand your point, as another member mention, some players have big egos regarding this, why is this such a unwritten rule, please can someone explain.

Such a dumb ‘unwritten rule’

Many leagues use point differential % systems as a tiebreaker to decide end of season placing for postseason etc..

Encourages teams to play until the end. Much better.

I never understood this unwritten rule, to me, it seems far more emberassing that a team beat you so bad, they aren't even trying to put a shot against you anymore.

Also, what are obvious reasons Canadians would herass another team? And why would Canadian player make that shot? I am lost here.

It's not even that bad of a unwritten rule in basketball. If the possession before you ended in a player dribbling it out (leading or not leading), it's just respectful to not score there. Not that hard. If they didn't, play on.

MLB is crazy with the unwritten rules though. Beaming players for celebrating too much or taking too long to run the bases or any little chirping lol.

I mean if you don’t like it then play better. 48 mins in a game last I checked. I guess the tanking getting to Darko mentally.
