Veteran guard Patrick Beverley has officially parted ways with Hapoel Tel Aviv, with the Israeli team describing the move as a mutual decision, according to BasketNews.com.

As BasketNews notes, Beverley recently had a public spat with Dimitris Itoudis, drawing a suspension for mocking the club’s head coach on social media. He didn’t play another game for Hapoel Tel Aviv after the incident.

When I read the thread title, I thought he took a stand on Gaza or something and I came here to praise him. But no, it's just Pat being Pat.

In 14 EuroCup games in 2024-25, the 36-year-old averaged 10.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.4 steals on .410/.353/.968 shooting. Beverley averaged 9.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists on .492/.405/.750 shooting in nine games in the Israeli Premier League.

Dude is a scrub even in Europe. I'm guessing he goes to China or retires next.

PBev is a winner. Winning follows him wherever he goes. That's why he has ... wait, no rings. That's why he has ... wait, no Finals appearances.

He talked the talk but couldn't do the walk. Gimme Jimmy. Also talks trash but he delivers.

I’m pretty sure he went over there during the middle of the genocide and when asked about it he played stupid. Now it’s mostly over so it would be a surprising time for him to grow a conscious and take a stand

Honestly that is good, better for him to play stupid than to give uninformed takes. The vast majority of people don't even know enough about the whole situation except for what they might read here and there, why would Bev be someone to give any sort of important insight.

Him having a spat with someone, and specifically a coach is pretty on brand for him though. Just tried to do too much in terms of antics, always been the case.

For Beverley's safety this is probably for the best. He should get out of their ASAP before they really start slandering him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back over here. A few teams right now could actually use him off of their bench.

Nuggets, Warriors, Cavaliers, Rockets (if VanVleet is out longer)
