Jokic compared to Magic as a passer?

This is an interesting debate because many people think Magic as the greatest passer of all time.

He’s just got amazing court vision and that’s his real super power. I think Magic was a slightly more gifted natural passer, but they are pretty equal as overall playmakers.

I don’t really understand your first paragraph. Are you saying that Jokić doesn’t display amazing dexterity and unorthodox delivery in his passes? If so, that’s wildly untrue. Or are you talking about a lack of “pizzazz”? That’s also untrue.

He’s a stationary passer. Doesn’t really move at a fast enough speed or have enough wiggle to even attempt some of the passes Magic pulled off
Standing still passes over your head or behind the back are actually pretty fundamentally sound, bc his core and base is solid, and it’s just changing his arm placement. Magic on the other hand would be flying through the air ducking up and under and going horizontal with his passes
It’s just different

Jokic makes every pass from every angle - on the break, off the drive from the baseline, dump-offs off the drive - he runs point guard actions all the time.
His game is so versatile that you can watch any given game and not see like 90% of the things he can do, because he only does what that game requires.
The only pass that comes to mind that I haven't seen him do is the elbow pass.
