He's still useful as hell In the right role . Any contender could use him if they did so wisely.

If it does happen, no doubt, he will join a contenting team to try to get a ring before he calls it a career.

He's already resigned himself to a mentor role essentially. His success on the court is an added bonus. Unless he really wants to keep being tossed around the league, I could see him just riding out this season with SA and then retiring.

He signed for below the MLE so his options would be a lot more i think.

It's time to retire.

What's the deadline for buyout for him to be eligible to join a playoff team?

Welcome back to the Clips, Paul

He’d be a great player to have off the bench for a contender, he’ll have options.

As a Denver supporter, I'd much rather have him than Westbrook, assuming he'd be cool with any number of minutes.

Too late for that, though.

He wants one more playoff push i bet, and then call it quits at the end of the year. If he can secure the Buyout, sign with a LAC, DAL, BOS, CLE, etc type and hope for the best even in a minor bench role.

Boston would be his best bet for a ride to the NBA finals at minimum... but he's never played on an eastern conference team his whole career. Would be weird to see him do it now at the age of 40.

I don't think he'll go there because they have a log-jam at guard but he'd be a great fit in OKC. They could really use a 3rd ball handler. I feel like even 15mpg with CP3 as backup pg during the playoffs could be a huge boost for OKC.

The Magic would probably take him and maybe even keep him around an extra year at the right price.

CP3 just wants to play lol. He's not starting for many contenders.

Maybe a reunion with PHX makes sense or Minnesota might offer him a starting role at PG.

A reunion with Phoenix makes the most sense since Suns are struggling right now.
