https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/how-lebron-james-can-make-a-case-for-mvp--the-big-number-165040046.html "The Lakers right now, they're the second seed in the Western Conference," Devine says. "If that continues, and you're talking about best player on the No. 2 seed in the West — and also very famous best player — that's a case that doesn't have to get laughed out of the room."
Lemedia is all over us.
Lebron has never been the best player of the Lakers ( minus a bunch of games), not when AD was there; much less with Luka.
Player of the month of February was already a robbery to Jokic, who averaged a monster triple double, and now they want to make a case for mvp candidate
It has been 22 years that Lemedia has manipulated the opinion of the average Joe for a player that is good , but not great : they have no shame...

Stop taking the LeBait, it’s an ai-generated article meant exactly to do this. You made me click on it it too to look at the author so congrats on helping them along.
Also one cheap buried article from a pretty irrelevant site doesn’t constitute ‘media manipulation.’

This is prime reason why media talks LeBron, you just made thread about it and linked the article itself I assume... How people dont get that they themselves are the problem?

People attacking the messenger instead of watching the elephant in the room
He just got an undeserved Player of the month.
This article is an example of what is happening everywhere, trying to make it like Lebron is the best player of the Lakers, while he is often a negative for the team... but hey , let's shoot the messenger...

"This doesn’t mean Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokić aren't the frontrunners for MVP. But LeBron shouldn't be overlooked.
...
That's a case that doesn't have to get laughed out of the room."
So they aren't actually saying he should be MVP? Just that there's a "case" for it. Ok, and by case they mean it's plausible enough for them to write this article with a straight face because people will take the bait and comment/engage it.

You’re the exact person that these headlines draw in. I hope you realize how ironic that is
These headlines are meant to get people excited or angry and spark exactly this. You’re perfect for it

This is also about a player of the month?
29/11/7 on 56/44 and his team went 9-2 in the games he played, 10-2 overall, what exactly is your issue with the player of the month? Luka played 7 games for the Lakers in February and shot 37/24 while coming back from injury.
The article quoted is an AI generated article with a video of two guys saying he's currently in the longshot and some places don't even have him in MVP convo. Then they discuss, "how" he could get into the top 3, which would be by the Lakers sweeping OKC x 2 and Boston.
The AI obviously won here, because you clicked, because you wanted to tell us all how the Lebron media manipulation is all over (but they knew this is the type of stuff people like you would click), and then you went and shared it, and now they've gotten a few more ad dollars. Then everyone else like you who dislikes Lebron and shows us how the media is pushing him will share it to criticize, but don't realize that the best way to actually stop this is to ignore the stuff you don't like

People still don't get that hate fuels this stuff just as much, and sometimes, the haters are even fueling it more.

....and the video that first pops up simply says he could go up in odds, and he could get into top 3 if they sweep against OKC twice and vs Boston, and OP just didn't get the cues and went along with their narrative, which is also exactly what the AI generated article wanted to happen.

don't worry. any such chance would have seen lebrob splitting the vote with davis or luka while sga and jokic singularly carry their team..
such an obvious observation leads me to believe that you are correct...it's the lebrob media hard at work, but not necessarily make lebrob an mvp but to stat pad his legacy which is TOTALLY in keeping within the lebron ecosystem
lebron should buy an island and allow that ecosystem to flourish there - actually he probably has several islands

Let's pass on posting stupid clickbait next time. Everyone knows LeBron is not an MVP candidate, it's just rage bait.

There are dozens of Twitter accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers literally just dedicated to talking LeBron, either positive or (mostly) negative. Given that X pays their creators, one might say these are legitimate cottage industries just based off LeBron clickbait.

If you cant understand that the media will cover the face of the NBA (currently Lebron, moreso now that Doncic is on this team) more often than other players, is just illogical. Would you not consider it strange, if the media covered lebron less, especially during his month of rejuvenation with Doncic?
Also, who cares? If the media doesnt cover your jokic more than Lebron? who cares if the ratings of NBA is dropping and etc (some do care about this for some reason) it doesnt affect you at all...other than your emotions.
I couldnt care less is NBA ratings were dropping or that someone decided to ignore Lebron and cover someone else after a night of games. Doesnt affect me one bit, becaues I still enjoy watching my team win.
In fact, it would be great if you all watched NBA less and covered Lebron less. We fly under the radar and that is better. And prices of tickets and subscriptions will get cheaper. Better for me.

If LeBron doesn't take a backseat, they won't reach their potential.
Hope he isn't competing with Luka.

IMO, LeBron is not competing with Luka. They seem to be working well together.
LeMedia, however, is competing with everyone.
The good thing is that Luka and LeBron will help each other's stats.
It's possible that LeBron could pass Jokic in voting. He shouldn't, but he could IMO.
Teams are now selling out to stop Jokic at new levels. So his stats are coming down.
If LA keeps winning, Jokic's stats keep falling and Denver loses some more, it could happen.
SGA will win the award. He's had a great year. But Bron could climb the chart.
What's great is that LeMedia's sudden push of Bron lets Luka fly a bit under the radar. He's still probably a few weeks away from top shape, so that's all good.
